Chiming in late, I know, but I remember Arny from the old days of rec.audio (late 90s), and I have followed him and corresponded with him ever since.

And this is just awful. RIP, my friend.

I've 'known' Arny (met him, once, at that panel session with Atkinson) since the wild west rec.audio.* Usenet days . A true 'white hat'. Tireless advocate for reason and solid evidence, in a hobby often sorely lacking both. I'll miss him.
