Allo Boss2 DAC No Native DSD Play Back

Hi All,

I have purchased an Allo Boss2 DAC Acrylic version recently. The DAC is awesome and I am using moOde OS as its player. But the only issue I face is that the player not playing any DSD files in their native state, if I changed the settings to DoP, the player starts to play files up to DSD 64. Why is that? Did I miss any step in the process? Also, How can I play DSD files above 64 (DSD 256 or DSD 512..etc)?

RPI i2s bus is not supporting DSD only DOP. Also the speed of the bus is 192Khz hence you can only play DOP 64

But I have changed the OS to Volumio and done some tweaks via SSH now it is playing everything, but it is downsampling higher rates of DSD's (DSD 256 and above ) to S24 192Khz. that's all. the setting is in native DSD states. DAC working properly with LED display and all.

Volumio must have just added support for the Boss2 when I tested there was not support. I'll try it again.

Volumio still not support Boss2 by default, So I have to install some packages, Boss2 overlays and oled packages manually via SSH to run the player properly.

Thanks, I'll wait for them to update. I'll pretty happy with the Dietpi Allo GUI for now.
