It has safety regulations stamped on it. Unless you know they are fake I suggest we don't create conspiracy theories like this. As I commented, the power supply runs very cool.
I’ll second that. Indeed one reason these companies used external power supplies is so those are made by companies specializing in them and getting world wide accepted safety certification. If house I have had safety standard certified power supplies fail, usually a failed cap and or internal fuse blown , but never one melt. Let alone catch on fire.

The most dangerous thing about such properly made power supplies in the US is our dumb power plug and outlet standard. Want to catch something on fire? Have a curtain or other flammable thing fall into the gap of a not fully inserted plug ( because the entire mass of the plug is secured only by the entirely unsheilded prongs , and the weight of the cord or strain over time cranked it, or the outlet contacts are loose due to age, etc),

You want a hot and unreasonably sized power brick? Check out the one on an old Xbox 360. Huge, runs hotter than some amps I have had. Must have been the cheapest engineering possible since Sony managed an internal supply in the smaller case of the PS3 and PS 4.

Supports Bluetooth, RCA, TRS, Type-C USB, optical, and coaxial connections.
12v trigger and SUB out? including freq. filter that cuts off the main accordingly?
specs for the BT chip?
release date?

Equipped with a 12V trigger and Aux output, it can connect to an active subwoofer, with a frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz, supports Bluetooth 5.1, and is expected to be released in December. Stay tuned!

Hope you decided to release a new DAC matched with this aesthetic to be bought together...and make the definitive combo for enthusiasts (as Fosi already made with their ZA3+ZD3).

@AIYIMA Would A80 use the same amplification stage design than the A70 (with the same quality components and PFFB)?

Hello, mates!
Help with answering some questions regarding Aiyima a70 :
1. For Wharhdale Evo 4.4 speakers will a 5A unit be enough? I listen at medium volume.
2. will Topping PA7 be much better than A70 ?
3. will A70 be much better than Fosi V3 stereo ?

I have the A70 since several weeks now and I'm pretty sure it will meet your requirements for the EVO 4.4 by far...it will drive them very well, with the 48V-5A power brick, don't worry. I'm using a pair of Canton Ergo 32DC and they are fully alive with the A70.

Hi guys! Could you please suggest if this amp will be better for wharfedale evo 4.4? I have aiyima a08pro now but didn't test it yet, awaiting for my wharfedale to arrive... Meanwhile I also thought about this A70 or Topping pa 5 or pa 5 plus, but the seller told me they won't be enough and I should take pa 7... So I am a bit confused... What do you think will be the best solution? To stay on my a08pro, or to take A70 or topping?

Hello, I would like to buy an integrated amplifier for my desktop. Currently I have Dali Oberon 1 speakers, dac smsl SU-1 and the source is a pc.
I usually listen to rock, blues, jazz, metal, punk, stoner, trash, hardcore, etc.
After looking at the different reviews I think these 3 amps could be a good choice
Aiyima A70 with 48v 10A power supply - 167€
Fosi ZA3 with 48v 5A power supply - 129€
Topping PA5 II Plus - 207€
Which of these options do you think would be the best based on my configuration and musical tastes?
Thank you very much.
Kind regards!

Hi. I would recommend the Aiyima out of these three options. I have experience with this and the Fosi ZA3. They are quite similar with same amplifier class D- chip TI TPA3255 but the Aiyima has PFFB implemented to reduce load dependency. You should go for the 48V/5A power supply. You won't hear any difference and the 10A version has a small fan with a high pitch noise that can be a bit annoying at lower volumes. Change the op amps to some original OPA1612, they are cheap, and you have yourself a very good and clean sounding power amplifier which runs cool. In addition the Aiyima has a subwoofer out interface if you should need one. Here you'll find a serious review with ABX-testing and objective data (a big miss in so many hifi-reviews):

Hi,

I pulled the trigger on an A70 but after looking at the review a few more times I am wondering if its really going to be any better than the SMSL DA 9 that I currently use.
My main concern now, is that I am running the DA 9 with the RCA inputs, feeding the output of my DAC into an SVS Pro1000 SW via RCA, and then using the SVS RCA Outputs into the DA-9.

I didnt realize that the Amir's results for the A70 are good via the Balanced Inputs but fall off sharply going to RCA. Given that the SW output of the A70 seems fairly bolluxed, is there a way for me to utilize the XLR (my DAC does have Balanced outs, but no SW output)? If so, how would I get signal to the SW??

Thanks!

What makes you say the subwoofer output is problematic?

Hi i bought a Aiyima A70 with 5A and 10A PSU, the 10A is Grounded and makes some Ground Noise, not such a no Brainer ;) .
The USB Isolator comes Friday, then i will make somes Tests, i will Test it against my very Old Amps,
i hope i can make some Messurements to the Loudness difference, exactly is not possible.
Any suggestions for this Purpose? I dont know what i will Play to Test ist.

Hopefully u can Answer me some Questions .

Can the 2 Channels of the Aiyima A70 Stereo Bridged to Power up one 4Ohm Speaker?

I have seen that Amps can Shut down, when they get to Hot, specaily when they get to Feed with Sinus Waves, is it any Bad to Aktiv Cooling them to Prevent this? Or can the Amp be Damaged this Way?
