Active stand mounted speakers

I presume that if one lives where there is no phone signal (unless you are out on the deck & have the phone in a certain position) that these speakers (which seem like a great idea) are useless?
??? I am not sure what you are getting at. The LS60s are heavy, require AC and are not intended for outside use. If you choose to put them outside for a particular reason, you can use them if you have WiFi (or very long cables).

No. for inside use. But the phone can only access a signal when outside, by the river.
So, is there someway to utilize these speakers without using a phone?

I’m confused. You do need WiFi to use these speakers as intended. Any smartphone released in the past 10(?) years can access the internet using WiFi instead of a cellular signal.

If I can't get a cell phone signal, there is no WiFi unless I invest in one of those Elon Musk dishes which I do not think will work under the forest tree cover.
The place cannot be found via Google Search from the satellite view and there certainly is no street view.
Maybe there might be a from the river view, I don't know. It's 40 miles to Charleston, SC USA. And is about 8 hours by river from Givhans Ferry State Park, SC USA.
My mail comes to a P.O. Box about 20 miles away.
It is accessible by 4X4 via a 2 track trail, depending on rain & the river conditions.
So, the answer is likely: no cell Phone signal & no WiFi, then then I'm barking up the wrong tree looking at this setup.
Presumably I'll need a different setup.
Currently I am running a pair of APT/Holman Preamps in a sort of quad setup with .2 subs and 6 NAD 2200's (2 bridged mono to run the pair of subs,
4 Dahlquist M-905's & 2 homebuilt 12" subs cabs, ported, tuned to 29 Hz (with an FR of 20 Hz-80Hz, crossed over at high pass 60 Hz, Low Pass 80 Hz.
I am just looking for a somewhat more efficient, less complex 7 more compact way to have similar (or better), FR & sound stage.

Technically, that it not true. You can establish a local WiFi network without an Internet connection. That would permit you to stream/play to the speakers from local stored files (as I do) but, of course, not stream from Internet sources. The depth of your issues was not clear until now.

I was unaware that one could establish a "local" WiFi network. That would also make converting my CD's, DVD-A, and other formats to digital & putting them onto a NAS
a viable option.
Thank you so much for opening my eyes to this possibility. I will resach it & see what it is that I need to do to make that happen. It seems that it is a great probability to head in that direction.
Streaming holds not much interests for me, so that is a non-issue (at the moment, anyway).
I have music that was my grandmother's from the 1920's (78's) and everything that I have collected since I was 5 (1962) to keep me busy for a long time.
Recently my family got all our home movies (from 9.5 MM film in 1929 [my mother's parents snow skiing wedding in the Austrian Alps] through my mother & myself's trip on the SS United States in 1965 {when I was 6}) (the later stuff on 8 mm film) converted to digital (DVD & backed up on thumb drives).
So thank you again for letting me know about this option. I will definitely check it out after January 2025 (as my current personal projects wind down).
It looks like I'll have much to keep me busy for a while. More cord cutting in my future!
