Don't vehicles have to have soft corners these days? So that they don't do nasty things when they hit people that aren't in cars.
Ironically for regulatory purposes it's the flatter the front the better, it's theoretically better to push the person upright than to make them fold / roll over, and then the big flat parts are supposed to crumple before you hit something hard (like a suspension mount.) It's one of the reasons so many cars have huge baleen front ends these days, often with a foot or two of empty space in front of dinky engines.
