Barcelona beaches today, video and pictures. Young people... again

[ The Barcelona City Council caused some confusion on Tuesday about the opening of the beaches to the public. First they gave the green light to allow recreational bathing and that people could lie down to sunbathe while respecting the safety distances, an indication that later was unfortunate. These comings and goings have caused the beaches of Barcelona to be seen today full of people wanting to take advantage of the good weather after being confined by the coronavirus. Whether due to confusion or picaresque, not all have complied with the regulations of phase 0.5 that governs the Catalan capital.

The norm establishes that the beach can only be accessed, according to the corresponding age ranges, for walking or playing sports. To give a clear example: a 20-year-old adult can surf or run through the Barceloneta between 6 and 10 in the morning and between 20 and 23, provided he maintains the established social distance. What that same adult could not do is lie on the sand to tan or take a recreational dip, neither in its strip nor in any other... ]

Un análisis certifica que las mascarillas que reparte Madrid son de baja calidad y no filtran hasta el 40% de gotas pequeñas

An analysis certifies that the masks distributed by Madrid are of low quality and do not filter up to 40% of small drops
https://translate.google.es/translate?sl=es&tl=en&u=https://www.eldiario.es/sociedad/estudio-certifica-mascarillas-Madrid-pequenas_0_1029248288.html

[ They are not KN95. They don't protect enough. They do not have international certification. Neither is the correct labeling. And in addition, they have not been analyzed by any official, state or regional body, before being distributed to citizens. The masks of the Community of Madrid only succeed with the red background and the white stars that reproduce their flag in the plastic envelope in which they are delivered. An analysis of the National Institute of Safety and Health at Work to which eldiario.es has had access certifies that the alleged KN95 masks of Chinese origin that the Government of Isabel Díaz Ayuso delivers in pharmacies are not such. They do not have quality to be considered FFP2, the equivalent category in Europe, because their filtering capacity is insufficient.

In fact, the main conclusion of the study is that the level of protection against the coronavirus of these masks is a lottery: all the units analyzed gave different results, with very wide ranges between them, which prevents classifying them into any category. However, it can be said that they do not correspond to the manufacturer's instructions, which recommend them for use by toilets. The Community reported on Wednesday that it has distributed four million units in the last ten days... ]

[ In fact, the preliminary report that eldiario.es has accessed details that the five samples analyzed between May 15 and 20 show percentages of aerosol penetration (Penetration with NaCI) of between 4.98% and 39.81%. The main conclusion, in addition to not meeting the requirements of a FFP2, is that "a dispersion of results is observed that does not allow a classification of the mask." ]

But the problem is that you cannot find, at least me, the quality ones NOW. Everything is Chinese, most of them recently made, from unknown companies, false certificates ...

For the street, perhaps, but for medical use .... It is not surprising the high number of infections among health personnel.

Spain has a chemical industry that manufactures the necessary materials but .... I said, a lot of verbiage but it has not been acted as if facing a war, forcing / helping the national manufacture of sanitary protection material with credible certifications.

People who claim to wear face masks in public spaces

In closed spaces, in Tarragona city we were above 72%. The problem was the street and mainly young people (male).

Except for one woman walking fast and on the asphalt, everyone else wore a mask and a covered nose, on the sidewalk. Few young people I have seen.

In a few days....

My FFP2 mask without valve allows you to inhale much more easily than the FFP3 with valve but when it expires it bothers the hot air that accumulates. For closed and crowded places I will use FFP3.

Mascarillas que no ofrecen garantías

Masks that do not offer guarantees
https://translate.google.es/translate?sl=es&tl=en&u=https://www.ocu.org/salud/bienestar-prevencion/noticias/mascarillas-filtrantes-ilegales#

[ ...All of them have been reported by the European Rapid Alert System (RAPEX).

In this list is the model Garry Galaxy Respirator Mask. N95, which was used by health personnel in Spain until the Government ordered its withdrawal. The particle retention of this mask is less than 71%. Next, we offer the complete list.

Filter less particles

They are FFP2 type masks (or equivalent: N95, KN95 and KF94) that are mostly purchased in China. Your particle retention percentage should be 92-95%.

- Daddy Baby. Protective Mask. Eearloop Face Mask: retains less than 49% of the particles.

- Daddy Baby. Protective Mask. Respiratory Protection: offer less than 76% particle retention.

- LikeLove. Self Suction Filter Type Anti Particle Respirator - Has less than 86% particle retention.

- NEP KN95 Respirator Mask: Provides less than 62% particle retention.

- Unbranded-Three Dimensional Protective Respirator (disposable respirator): retains less than 76% of the particles.

- Garry Galaxy Respirator Mask. N95: Particle retention is less than 71%.

- Unbranded - Particle Filter Mask YK01 FFP2: the measured holding capacity is less than 68.5%. In addition, it does not have a certificate although the CE symbol appears on its packaging.

They don't have the certificates

- No mark-Protective respiratory filtration “half-face mask” of category KN90, detected in Denmark: they carry CE marks but do not indicate the corresponding certification, so they may not be safe.

- No brand-Particle Filter Mask KN95: they carry CE mark but do not indicate the corresponding certification, so it may not meet the safety requirements.

- Sinpul. Protective Mask KN95: CE mark without indicating the certification, so it may not offer guarantees.

- Unbranded-Particle Filter half face Mask made and sold in Denmark: does not carry the corresponding certifications.

- Dromex. Protective Mask: bears the CE mark but has not been tested and certified according to European standards.

- Unbranded - Safe Mask: Announces a filtering power of viral particles, but that filtering capacity has not been certified.

- Jtrip. Safe Mask / Fashion protective Mask: these are children's masks that have not been tested or certified.

Illegal and insecure

- 3M mask model 9501V: it is a counterfeit of the 3M KN95 mask. Although it carries the CE mark, it does not have the certificate making it illegal and unsafe. ]

Well, for now, the KN95 I bought are not listed. Dongguan Beizhiyou Food Technology Co., Ltd

PS: two days have passed and I have not received an answer to my questions about the certificate and its validity, as I suspected.

Ok folks, there is too much information here now.

Let's say I've been in a coma since February. What's the current situation with the virus, and what actions do I take? Is it ok to go outside and go to my friend's dinner party? Should I go to Home Depot and buy some N95 masks for protection? Should I go buy some pills? What kinds?

Can I get a nice short summary of what's going on and what I should do? Thanks, all.
