Wiim Amp Pro buzzing noise with HDMI and one speaker connector too short?

I just received my Wiim amp Pro and after hooking everything up I unfortunately noticed three problems.

1. a very annoying buzzing sound when the HDMI cable is plugged in

2. If the HDMI is connected to my TV (Which I also use as a 3rd monitor in this setup) I suddenly have a gigantic input lag but I don't understand how or why? My PC is hooked up to my TV with another HDMI port and the Wiim has the designated Arc port.

3. one of the speaker connectors does not let me plug my Banana plug in as deep as on the other 3 connectors and the "round part of the plugs end" isn't all the way in (I know that the plugs themselves won't go in all the way but this one is further out than the rest). I already swapped the cables through it's the plug.

I really wanna avoid having to rma etc. because it would be annoying to cable manage and hook everything up again so I don't mind the plug problem but the buzzing sound is kind of annoying. If any1 knows a solution I'd be very happy!

My setup is as follows:
1. RCA from my DAC (not pre-out) to the Wiim line in. The DAC is connected to my PC with USB
2. HDMI to ARC port of my TV.

Only when Using the line in and HDMI (on the Wiim) I get a buzzing noise, as soon as I disconnect the HDMI it goes away. If I change the source on the Wiim to HDMI the buzzing is also gone. THis is my first amp with hdmi/arc though.

Aune X8 DAC

Sony XH90/XH9005
PC --> RTX 3090, Ryzen 9 5900x, N7 B550

Do you need the DAC? What is its purpose? Can you go directly from your PC to the Wiim via SPDIF? If not, I'd suggest getting a USB to TO LINK adapter and using that to connect your PC to the Wiim.

Thank you for answering! Well It is a dedicated DAC with swappable Op-amps and together with the aune x7s it's my go to for headphones and I wanted to connect it to the wiim as well since it's a decent DAC when you swap op-amps.
I could also just connect the Wiim directly to my pc via USB or Toslink or whatever that is not really an issue but I do want to determine whether my unit has more than one fault (the banana plug I don't realy care that much for, but if several things are indeed wrong with my unit then I'd want 2 rma it).

I just don't know if I set something up incorrectly or if it is another component or really the Wiim.

The buzzing is almost certainly not a fault with the unit, just a ground loop or noise getting in via one of the connections. Electrically isolating your PC from the Wiim via TOSLINK will likely resolve it. I'm not inclined to think the TV is introducing the noise since it's not present when you are on the HDMI input.

If you want to keep your DAC in the loop for the headphone amp, you may have to look into isolation transformers to eliminate the hum that I assume is coming in via the RCAs. You could also just keep it as a separate audio device that you switch to when you want to use headphones, though I get that not as convenient.

Appreciate the help!
I connected my DAC to my PC via TOSLINK and the issue's gone!
Before doing so I also tried to plug my DAC and AMP into different outlets but that didn't help. Interestingly enough the HDMI issue with an increased input lag also disappeared after changing it to TOSLINK. I'd love to know how and why that's possible/happened. I don't know if you know why and how but if not I'd love to get an answer to that if someday someone finds this message

Ah for some reason I didn't consider just switching your DAC input to TOSLINK, even though I had looked up your DAC and saw it had an optical input. Basically did what I suggested but using your existing equipment.

The increased lag might have been due to the noise causing the HDMI having issues syncing. My best guess anyway.

I just derived my solution form yours so all good hahah. I was thinking about whether the fact that the arc port is a hdmi 2.1 port had something to do with it. my TV has two, one is for my ps5 and the other is the wiim and I thought maybe there was a bandwidth issue. The XH90 (even though advertised as the perfect ps5 tv when it released, can't properly do what it's advertising, namely displaying that 2.1 without disabling VRR and so on and so forth.)
