He has a good point, the Wiim amp is an incredible package. Once they are two or so iterations in (probably with PFFB and maybe variable loudness) i'll go for it.Darkorevisits
You skipped over the WiiM Amp AmpI predict the next model is named Wiim Amp Pro, then Wiim Amp Pro Plus, then Wiim Amp Ultra.
You heard it here first![]()

I have the popping issue when the device switfches from/to standby or between hdmi and steramingOK, looks like work on the popping sound issue has continued:

WiiM Amp Firmware 5.0.613551
I think it’s still just beta10 band PEQ is now functioning on my Amp after recent firmware and (Android) app updates. Not sure if this is a beta-users-only release, or if every Amp and app is getting the update.
10 bands of PEQ certainly ups the value proposition.
Congrats regarding step 1.I predict the next model is named Wiim Amp Pro, then Wiim Amp Pro Plus, then Wiim Amp Ultra.

What was the reason?FYI... WIIM just killed Airplay
Awaiting answers. I bought the WIIM Pro Plus instead of Sonos Port and until this week it made my Sonos Fives sound great. With the latest firmware update Airplay (Output) is gone as an Output and Fives are not bluetooth, nor DLNA so it is now an expensive light paperweight. Airplay was a major selling / buying point and so far they have tried to "silently" remove this key feature. What was the reason?
yes indeed which basically makes it as useful as a chocolate teapot if you want to stream over Airplay to say Sonos FivesAirPlay output, to be exact.
AirPlay cast. Yes, I know that, I read your thousand posts about it.FYI... WIIM just killed Airplay
