WiiM Amp discussion

My Wiim Amp is making crackling/popping sound noises on each next track.
This happens via Chromecast and Airplay, PCB version 5.
Might return my unit.

Someone else has this issue?

No. What's your current firmware version?

Such problems did exist in certain cases, but should have been fixed by newer firmware a couple of weeks ago.

He has a good point, the Wiim amp is an incredible package. Once they are two or so iterations in (probably with PFFB and maybe variable loudness) i'll go for it.

I predict the next model is named Wiim Amp Pro, then Wiim Amp Pro Plus, then Wiim Amp Ultra.
You heard it here first

OK, looks like work on the popping sound issue has continued:

10 band PEQ is now functioning on my Amp after recent firmware and (Android) app updates. Not sure if this is a beta-users-only release, or if every Amp and app is getting the update.

10 bands of PEQ certainly ups the value proposition.

I think it’s still just beta

Does anyone know the typical WiiM Amp's DC offset. The values on my Amp are 9mV (L) and 12mV (R).

What was the reason?
Awaiting answers. I bought the WIIM Pro Plus instead of Sonos Port and until this week it made my Sonos Fives sound great. With the latest firmware update Airplay (Output) is gone as an Output and Fives are not bluetooth, nor DLNA so it is now an expensive light paperweight. Airplay was a major selling / buying point and so far they have tried to "silently" remove this key feature.
