Got it from Jlester, solid board, quality components, and PFFB :

https://www.jlelectronicsph.com/pro...ter-feedback-pffb-48v-single-supply-amplifier

You can also contact me if you are from Europe, I have some top end boards with PFFB available.
Do you know if the voltage gain is 11.8(x) or 11.8 dB? Because if it's 11.8x you would need a voltage input of 2.93 V in order to reach the output power of 150 W @ 8 ohm.

If it's 11.8 dB the input would have to be... 3.89 V? If I'm doing my log/exponents correctly.

You're recommending it to people, you should know yourself :)

EDIT: Because it has a big impact on source/pre-amp requirements

I just share some link to good products. Jlester is known to do great modules on DIYaudio.
I am not the designer of the module so if you were more curious you probably would have asked Jlester)

[email protected]

You can buy anyway any Chinese amp bro )))))

did you look at the specs?

it's what you are asking for directly below that spec....

Input Sensitivity: 2.8V RMS
Ah. I don't know how I didn't see that. :( Question answered! Thanks.

Definitely need a source that is beefier than usual in order to get the rated power, or at least a preamp in between, then.

yeah, i never totally understood how that works

classA preamp boards often some with a preset 5x or 10x boost

if you already have 1.4V RMS, and jack it up 5 or 10x, what the heck happens there

my sense is you HAVE to have a pot between, but wouldnt it just be easier to get the fixed gain match your source? (i suppose pending its always going to be the same)

as an example: https://www.ebay.com/itm/LJM-PREAMP...ansistor-Pre-Amplifier-Board-New/272686097780

Basically you want to use the maximum possible voltage from beginning to end, while avoiding clipping, and then do the final attenuation (volume control) as close as possible to your amplification, so as to maintain SNR as high as possible; signal is variable but noise is typically fixed.

Sometimes you don't have a choice, especially when you're running a multi-channel setup. For me, I'm building an Aurora DSP-based setup and there's no way I'm going to futz around with analog volume control of 8 channels so I will have to use the digital attenuation on the Aurora and live with the slightly-impaired SNR which may or may not be audible.

Does the added impefence of opamps increase purepath rated designed input signal voltage peak amplititude of freqency?

Hi amigos,

Just finished last amps.

Based on DrMordor modules (360 Customs spec) with Full Alu case, PET Cables, Alps pot

- TPA3255 PFFB +
- OP Amps MC 33272
- TDK Epcos Inductors
- LLC PSU (EDT34 core)
- Epcos Audio grade Caps
- Elna Silmic II buffer
- TDK Output Buffer

This new version is just extraordinary. Very pleasant listening, it's fine, the bass does not drool, the mids are right and the treble very precise. I am very impressed I still have to listen to it but it promises!

Looks magnificent. Does it have a balanced signal input option?

Yes, I also tested it in full balanced mode, works fine as well.
But I think RCA inputs to be more conventional for most people and difference is almost inaudible.

OK.
Are you considering adding xmos USB input?

Yes that what I meant )

PS : I am also using a double AK4497 DAC with XMOS : perfect combo with TPA325X. tested in Balance and Unbalanced mode = top !

Is the amplifier sold with the included power supply? what features does it have? Has it already been tested as per AIYIMA 07 and verified the optimal VOLT to have the lowest THD?
