Outside of electrostatics and the Raal ribbon, cannot think of any reason why one would need more power than what the A90 can supply.Any headphone amp similar to the a90 with a bit more power and gain for harder to drive headphones?
Hifiman Susvara and Abyss DTC. A little more power for some overhead and future proofing.Outside of electrostatics and the Raal ribbon, cannot think of any reason why one would need more power than what the A90 can supply.
Why do you actually NEED that ??
Has it been confirmed that the A90 has grounding issues? And what is the Raal ribbon issue? I can’t find anything about it.Outside of electrostatics and the Raal ribbon, cannot think of any reason why one would need more power than what the A90 can supply.

I’m circling back to the A90, A90D, or the A30Pro.Hifiman Susvara and Abyss DTC. A little more power for some overhead and future proofing.
According to the ASR measurements of the Abyss here, it needs 1.03V with a 49 Ohm rating to reach 94db sound levels. The HE-6 needs an even higher 1.25V with a 50 Ohm rating.Hifiman Susvara and Abyss DTC. A little more power for some overhead and future proofing.
does the A90 clip often? How does it sound, when the A90 clips?
Does A90 really clip if nobody is there to hear it?does the A90 clip often?
So either my new A90 is defective,
or I pushed it to its power limits with my HE6SE v2.
From about 9 o'clock position, high gain, and EQ with 8db bassshelf,
I have regular dropouts in the sound...
If I turn down significantly, there are no problems...
It's actually the amplifier that shuts down.
I heard a relay switching.
Hard to believe, but apparently the A90 has too little power for what I'm doing. Now I am at a loss.

Just checking, what dac at what output setting/level into which inputs on the A90?.With this setting the problem is unfortunately not yet solved...
