Just a little question, foremost directed to Amir (@amirm): What do your choices regarding which tests to perform and/or publish with a certain piece of equipment depend on?

Reason for the question: When I read the review of the Yamaha A-S701, I noticed, that you've included a reactive load test similar to H/K's good, old "power cube" test, which I deem quite useful in the context of amp stability in combination with somewhat difficult loads. So I was pretty happy to see that. However, you do not seem to perform this test with every integrated amp, power-amp and receiver (or at least not to publish the restults) - like for example in case of the Topping B100. Hence i wonder why or respectively why not?

Greetings from Munich!

Amir has already told you in the review of the B100. The reason for not doing the power cube test was the aggressive protection circuit meaning that test couldn't drive the amp to full power.

P.S. I don't have PowerCube measurements for you due to aforementioned aggressive protection circuit, not allowing me to measure peak power.
