Speaker Testing: why mono is better

It's not that mono testing can be a better indicator for testing speakers with machines or ear. The above study shows that in real world listening i.e stereo or multichannel people prefer these speakers at a marginal scale that could be argued as a point to not spend money on eq equipment and stick to 2 channel amplifiers at 100-300 usd vs avr's that usually have poor performance on paper and reviews below 1000usd.
