I would like to buy a PURIFI 1ET9040BA Monoblock for front speaker and I am confused between several companies because of the difference in gain amp between them
I have a question about perfect match gain amp with storm audio ISP MK3 processor ?

Also I do not know about the quality of these companies in general..
If anyone has experience with these companies, which one is better to go with? Buckeye or Audiophonics

Thank you

Audiophonics is an established company with many years of experience. I highly recommend them for purchases in the states. Audiophonics pricing is typically in line or better than most established dealers. Though in your case it appears the Buckeye could save you a couple of hundred dollars. From personal experience Audiophonics is my first choice for most audio gear. Two areas that Audiophonics excels are shipping and after sales service. Their typical shipping time from France to USA is 2-3 days. That means if you order an in stock item on say a Tuesday you will receive it by Friday. I have found there after sales support yo be outstanding.

My most recent purchase is a pair of the HPA-S500 Purifi amplifiers. Both amps had issues with the custom PSU. Audiophonics immediately responded to my after sales request and immediately shipped out new supplies with there standard two day delivery.

Copied statement from site pretty much sums it up.
Audiophonics is a company created in 2005, specialized in the distribution and sale of Audio, HiFi, Do It Yourself and electronic products on the internet. To propose qualitative products at the best price, here is the philosophy that guides us every day. We put a strong emphasis on being the first to offer innovative products that match the expectations of the market and customers.

I would like to also recommend March Audio from Australia. My monoblock arrived in 12 days. Australia is a free trade country with the US. I also had 3 NC1200 monoblocks from March that continue to perform well after 5 years.

My 9040 from them is dead quiet and produces no heat and is a solid build quality.

Have you opened up your MA amp to look at the quality of its layout and internal design? I'm curious to see its internals.

If you are in the States, keep in mind if your unit has to be shipped back to Audiophonics in France for repair, it can be expensive. My own experience with Audiophonics was problematic for a variety of reasons, and as a result I bought a replacement amp from Buckeye.

I have not. HIs previous tear downs on ASR were well reviewed.

My experience with Audiophonics was. Nothing less than excellent. I am in the states and all repairs and returns were fully covered by Audiophonics. Would have purchased the Buckeye if a pair would have fit in my rack.

Both Audiophonics and Buckeye are good options IMHO. I assume you will need to be able to independently adjust the gain no matter what in order to achieve proper integration of your front speaker with the others. When I bought an Audiophonics stereo amp in 2020, it had 3 selectable gain levels, and I assume they have the same or similar options now. For Buckeye, their web page also says their unit has 3 selectable gain levels. Typically the lowest gain bypasses the input buffer and produces gain somewhere in the neighborhood of 12-13dB. Medium gain is usually around 19-20dB, and high gain is usually around 23-26dB (all of this is if memory serves).

If you have questions, though, I've found that Audiophonics responds to emails within 24 hours, or I suppose you could tag @Audiophonics here (as I just have). As for Buckeye, Dylan is very active here and you can tag @Buckeye Amps too.
