Products you'd like, that don't exist

An updated MiniDSP 4x8HD with for example 8 outputs and better than 15 filters per channel (more memory, faster SHARC). Seems like enough time has passed with the existing model to expect a bit more.

Have a deep pockets like Apple buy Denon/Marantz. Then build on their R&D to finally do consumer level room correction right and combine the ATV with all the normal AVR functionality into an easy to use AVP. Leave the amps and the speakers to the end user.

For years I've wanted noise canceling devices that you can place on windows. So when some idiot goes rumbling down the street with all the fenders vibrating from his subs, the magic device will nullify what I hear in the house. It doesn't have to be perfect, I'd take a 60db reduction. Something transparent that you can stick on the window and not obscure the view would be optimal. I've got cash in hand to buy one for every window in the house.
CASH in hand? Any possibility of moving to a place further from the street?

A true universal multichannel digital player dedicated to audio which would be :

- totally autonomous: must be able to operate without having to connect any screen or use a computer, including using smartphone applications (obviously, the possibility of controlling the device with a smartphone application is welcome, but the application should not be mandatory to use any function of the device);
- a remote control (even if a smartphone application exists), at least optional.
All are great but I think that this is the greatest idea of the ones that you listed!

See if you can find a Sony TCK-333ESR, or even the 555ESR

Quartz locked direct drive, 3 head, closed loop dual capstan, Dolby B/C, switchable MPX, bias, full logic of course, remote control.

About 9.5kg of awesomeness.

The market still doesn't offer enough integrated amps that only have digital inputs, have a great DAC and state-of-art D amplification, plus offer two configurable sub-out ports out. And zero analog and especially no phono inputs. Integrated calibration/optimization nice, too.

Is that what Dylan at Buckeye is working on?

I have no problem converting my TTs, Cassette Decks, Reel to Reels & FM outputs to digital (as long as there are enough digital inputs).
I don't care what class the amps are as long as they do the job (correctly [I am currently tri-amped with H class amps]).
But I definitely want two (more would be even better) configurable sub outputs to send to my sub amps & their passive subs.
Integrated calibration/optimization nice, too. YES, that too!

It already exists with the Okto Dac8 and Pro with the new firmware. Not exactly a user friendly GUI and not automated but leaps and bounds beyond anything else in the consumer offerings.

I'd forgotten about that one. Excellent performance too: https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/okto-dac8-stereo-dac-review.14705/

Very nice, but quite expensive. It also seems to have an inbuilt PC, but no USB audio in - and a whole bunch of analogue inputs I wouldn't need.

I'd like a preamp with Home Theater Bypass (including subwoofer out and high and low pass for bass management), a good, transparent DAC with multiple inputs, multiple analog inputs including balanced, balanced outputs, AND built-in room correction+parametric EQ.

I have a Parasound NewClassic 200 that basically covers a lot of that, but:
- there are no balanced connections
- it did not measure superbly here, although it did adequately I would say
- no room correction (just basic treble/bass EQ) and I can't find a good way to insert it into the system without overcomplicating things (mainly due to using a subwoofer)

The Parasound P6 solves the balanced connections, but I'm not sure how well it performs and I like the NC remote control options much better (subwoofer on/off, sub level tone controls, tone controls). It's also a bit pricey at $1700, but it does have a lot of features.

The other thing I want - Apple Music in a streamer that can be easily connected to a stereo, and not just as an Android app but real “connect” type of functionality, which would mean Apple releasing an API. Hell, if they released a hardware audio streamer I’d probably buy it. It’s crazy that there are so few ways to play Apple Music losslessly or Hi Def without tethering an Apple device.

A power strip turned on/off with a 12v trigger

Maybe you would like the suggestion I made in another thread...

A DAC, with built in PEQ and room correction that has an input for a measuring microphone and a semi automated process, similar to IK Multimedia ARC Studio:
I may not have understood you correctly, but something like this has been on the market for quite a long time.
dbx offers various things for this and I myself have been using the DEQ2496 from behringer for years, which has so many setting options that I will never use them all.
Of course it also has PEQ and GEQ

The video below shows the Auto EQ process, which is extremely simple and enormously helpful for setting a desired listening curve.

What i would like is the ability to buy \ stream original studio mixes (pre master digital) and the option to expand roon type systems to include a defined set of plugins to "self master". The ability to share "masters" .. pick up default masters .. masters for the car others for the hifi etc. This would remove the notion that you can create a single master that will satify audiofiles, radio stations, small devices etc..
Plus some of you might be surprised how much the dynamic range has to be reduced in order to get a good result too!

A programmable remote my spouse can use, manufactured by a major company and supported for at least a decade.

Inexpensive and ready-to-use plate amps based on the TPA3255 with built-in DSP and electronic crossover for simple activation of two-way, three-way and four-way loudspeakers.
In other words, something like the Hypex Plate Amps at a reasonable price.

Oh, nice thread!
You Would please let me repeat/copy-paste my dream products which I already shared and touched on remote threads.

Let me start with my "dream" 16-channel DAC hopefully from OKTO Research; please refer to my posts here with conceptual drawing of the backside view that I dream of...
WS003999 (2).JPG

USB 16-Ch ASIO input (by one or two USB 2.0 cable from PC) and 16-Ch balanced analog out should be just enough for me. Therefore, my simple wish for 16-Ch Sync Pro DAC, (OKTO?) DAC16PRO(?) with two (or three?) of ES9028PRO or ES9038PRO (or new AKM DAC chips?) in it; 8-Ch AES/EBU stereo inputs would be welcome for future possible use, and for those who in pro field. Of course, the dedicated ASIO driver in PC should recognize all of the 16-Ch of this gear; quite easy to be achieved, I believe.

I do hope Pavel of OKTO would look here.

I can now speak Japanese, provided all I need to say is "Auto EQ". :)

I have seen the DEQ2496 before, but didn't know about the Auto EQ feature. However, similar to the ARC Studio, it sits between the DAC output and the monitors; I don't think it can be connected directly to a PC or MAC like a USB DAC.

What I'd like is something really user friendly, with a nice desktop app, like the ARC Studio, with a guided measurement process. My RME DAC has PEQ, but to be honest, I never really used it until they released the desktop app, it was very fiddly to do using the buttons, knobs and the menu system on the device itself.

A NAD M66 which actually works.

(goes without saying that VC MUST be at the very last stage and MUST be analog,it's me we're talking about :p )
