I think they were only able to get 650 years of use out of it, not 900The "Pont du Gard" is still used today, 1980 years after his construction ! The name means "Bridge over the Gard" (the river Gardon). . The bridge is 49 metres high and has bows on three levels.
During 900 years, water was flowing above the bridge to supply he city of Nimes with water.
The Arena of Nimes is a Roman amphitheatre situated in the French city of Nîmes. Built around 70 CE, shortly after the Coliseum of Rome, it is one of the best-preserved Roman amphitheatre in the world and still used today for concerts and bullfighting...
