The "Pont du Gard" is still used today, 1980 years after his construction ! The name means "Bridge over the Gard" (the river Gardon). . The bridge is 49 metres high and has bows on three levels.
During 900 years, water was flowing above the bridge to supply he city of Nimes with water.
The Arena of Nimes is a Roman amphitheatre situated in the French city of Nîmes. Built around 70 CE, shortly after the Coliseum of Rome, it is one of the best-preserved Roman amphitheatre in the world and still used today for concerts and bullfighting...

Mark Knopfler, arènes de Nimes, Fr. ............... Nimes arena was built 1900 years ago...
Nimes is the town where DENIM - de Nimes = from Nimes - the textile used for jeans has been invented 500 years ago (more or less). The name "Blue Jeans" comes from the color "Bleu de Gènes" in French ... Bleu de Gènes and Indigo are the same color.

"According to the latest research, it would have ceased to carry water at the beginning of the sixth century... around 450 years after being built.
So I was wrong.
