We are chockablock with hummers (hummingbirds) here lately.
Essentially only one species is found in the US east of the Mississippi River - the red-throated hummingbird.
They are small, pugnacious, voracious, and they are also very migratory. :)

Yes this is where I took the image... I also took some pictures inside the village...
I live in Collioure by the Mediterranean Sea, a VERY old village actually full of tourists and you're lucky if you find a place for your car at 100m outside the village. Finding a place in a restaurant is impossible if you forgot to book.

The 800+ old house inside "Saint Guilhem le Désert" France, still inhabited.
I talked to the owner and he told me the house was comfortable, I asked him if I could visit but he said NO !!

You can see the rectangle above the entrance door... this is the name of the street. Still "Rue/Street Font du Portal" today !

^^^Ok, 200 km.

... o_O
...I think you need to take more photos. Anywhere - anywhere around the village. Maybe next time you go to church. :) First pic I saw was the notre dame.

[Google is wonderful, they can track me, it's ok.]

[edit / PS:] (I mean Collioure. At your leisure.)

We had a cottage in the Aude until recently, and I do miss it. Collioure was a favourite spot, but as you say, impossible to park or eat in during holiday periods. That's why we visited outside school holidays. Narbonne Plage was more accessible, if less pretty.

A bar in the middle of the old village "Saint Guilhem le Désert". Can you see the fountain ?
I remember it. Very cold water on a very hot day. I cooled my arms in it after hiking the Cirque de l'Infernet (great hike!) a few years ago.
