I think the French should be immensely proud of what has been achieved from what seemed like an impossible task. That the cathedral is open again to visitors is a miracle.I have seen photos of the new interior of the Notre Dame. They have modernised it! How sad, it looks as if Notre Dame will never be the same again for future visitors.
From the photos I've seen, it's a massive improvement. It's now closer to the way it would have looked to the builders rather than the dark, dismal way it was after centuries of grime and candle soot. A credit to the French and their way of getting stuff done. If it had been Westminster Abbey that had burnt down, we'd still be arguing 5 years later in committees over what colour the seats should be.I have seen photos of the new interior of the Notre Dame. The only down side I see is they had to invite the President elect to the reopeningFrom the photos I've seen, it's a massive improvement. So happy that this is reopening, and huge thanks to everyone who had a hand in its resurrection. We will be in France in September for between 2 and 3 weeks, with a little more than a week in Paris, and we are so excited to be able to visit!

Is it true that for the restoration they used Ubisoft's 8K images, used for the game Assassin's Creed Unity?
