yah, mine goes magenta. firmware version is 1.4. hardware version is 1.2

from the manual text it sounds like purple or green indicate MQA streams (ie, tidal) and blue indicates an MQA file (purchased MQA?)

I could send him mine if he hasn't gotten any more local volunteers.

blue, green and magenta all seem to indicate that MQA is being fully decompressed in hardware by the dac. i think you're fine.

I never seen magenta light, only green or blue. Some Master tracks shows 352.8kHz rate.

It will be awesome, I'm waiting for measurements ))

It depends on track quality, Master tracks show up to 352,8 kHz, sometimes 192, HiFi shows 96 and 44,1kHz as normal

are you using the smsl windows driver?

fyi, i'm running pseudo balanced, as the m500 has a floating ground and so does my amp. xlrs and rcas are always powered in preamp mode.
