Are you adding subs or using them without?Yeap, no sense in this pricing.
The white 8350A is going to be a bit more expensive bcs of the color, but worth it to me.
Maybe they want to make them attractive to hifi shops. So there is a higher retail margin baked into the price?Yeap, no sense in this pricing.

A high quality stand or a high marketing stand?
Whatever it is, that price is just ridiculous. Painting 8340, putting them on a stand and slapping a very very high margin.
I know they are a business and have to make profits, but this is just money grab from people who don't know audio.
If I were to buy these and later found out about their Pro line, I'd be very pissed.
Wow! That pricing makes no sense to me. It would make sense if it were a tower speaker, but it’s just a 8350 with a built in(1,800 Euro) stand.Just got information from a Genelec partner in Germany: the price is 2.842,86 Euro + VAT per speaker.
I guess it's white 8350A + stands for me.
The stand is "only" about € 1000,-Wow! That pricing makes no sense to me. It would make sense if it were a tower speaker, but it’s just a 8350 with a built in(1,800 Euro) stand.
It does have a closed enclosure, so possibly more extension due to larger volume, but will have limited output power. Might also sound tighter.Actually, it’s worse than the 8350. It has both the disadvantages of a tower speaker (can’t place it on a stand/desk/bookshelf) and none of the advantages (bass extension, output, smoother bass). The worst of both types(bookshelf and tower) .
The future is hereWould love to see what Genelec could do with the design freedom of a tower speaker. Perhaps in the future .
The measurements must tell the truth. The measurements of a frequency response tells "Come on, there is nothing to see".Perhaps both?
So I saw correctly the price in the first day of the official presentation.... unfortunately. Kinda exaggerated to say the list. But this is just the first product in their signature line. Let's see what happens nextJust got information from a Genelec partner in Germany: the price is 2.842,86 Euro + VAT per speaker.
I guess it's white 8350A + stands for me.
