And I find it rather presumptious that you seem to believe that your experience is the universal one.

This discussion seems perhaps better suited for it's own thread rather than being discussed in this review thread? Since if soundstage is inherent to the driver technology you already know what the soundstage of the Chu 2 would be like.

This is a Review Thread Guys. Can we all try a little harder to stay on topic please.

A few off topic posts deleted.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Happy Sunday Crew. ;)

My pair showed up today and I have a few comments, comparing them to Truthear Crinicle Zero (original/blue) and 7Hz Salnotes x Crinacle Zero 2 IEMs.
1. Waifu packaging remains annoying;
2. Build quality feels noticeably better than the 7Hz. The earbuds themselves feel like they're made of metal while the 7Hz are plastic. The cable is also better than the 7Hz. The Truthears still look the best, IMO, but the Moondrops are smaller than either and the most comfortable to wear.
3. Sound quality is "right". It sounds accurate and uncoloured. More bass and less treble than the Truthears, maybe just a bit less very low bass than the 7Hz but overall sound is extremely close to the 7Hz. They're among the best IEMs I've heard. I'd take them every day over the Truthears (which are merely "very good" to the Moondrops' "excellent"), compared to the 7Hz on sound quality it's a wash, but taking into account build and comfort, I'd probably pick the Moondrops.
4. I'm listening using the Apple USB-C dongle and I can easily drive them to painful levels with the only distortion coming from my eardrums, not the earbuds.

Girlfriend's Chu 2 arrived today. This iem's is way smaller than the Hola i got for her before, so that's perfect for her tiny ears, sound wise, she doesn't care as long as sound is coming..... . I tried the Chu 2, but didn't fit me at all. But she changed the white cable, to the Hola black cable w mic so now its all black.

Got mine today. Driving them with a Qudelix-5K and using the Chu II eq provided by the amp/app. Sounds pretty right to me. Will experiment with different eq later. What I can say for sure is that these are very comfortable for my ears. I’ll be able to sleep on my side with no issues.

I have the Hola and they perfectly fit my ears. Is the nozzle angle similar on the Chu? I have so many $20(ish) IEMs. I’m sure I don’t need another, but that tiny size is tempting.

I got Chu II months ago. It's the one of the best pairs I own, ultimately comfortable to wear, with perfect sound. It's a pleasure to see it also measures very well as I expected. Lastly, It is among a few pairs I gladly use without any EQ.

Just got mine a few days ago, 26€ at Amazon Germany.
They sound fine, but like all the in-ears i ever tried they feel awkward in my ear. People recommend foam tips, but it's still something in my ear. Maybe it's the age related hair growing in there?

At least they don't seem to slip out, thanks to the hook. Also the cable is very silent, no rubbing sounds so far.

Once China starts to apply ChiFi performance to speakers that outperform Genelec, Neumann, KEF, Revel with lower prices, then it's going to get wild. Imagine performance of a Genelec 8361 for 1/3 of the price.
We know that you don’t mean this in a derogatory manner towards Chinese people. We have a Forum specific Policy to avoid this description. Therefore, we kindly request our Members avoid using this terminology “Chi-fi” as it can have negative connotations for such companies and individuals.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding in this regard.
Dude, China has electric cars for 10k. Imagine if the USA believed in free trade and dropped the tariff bs of late from both parties.
No politics please. A bipartisan political post is still political. Thanks.

Wow thats alot for Chu 2, lucky me I’m not living in europe/sweden anymore, i paid 9 euro/ 10 usd/ 357 baht at Shopee online inc shipping.

I just measured the outside barrel diameter of my Chu II pair. I'm getting very nearly 6 mm. Has anyone else measured?

Do you think that they vary, or do you doubt your own measurements?

I don't think the barrel diameter varies. I'm looking for confirmation of my measurement. It's possible to "squeeze" the barrel with the caliper and get a smaller value.

I measured in case anyone may want the information to buy foam tips.

I received mine today. The packaging was easily disposed of in the trash. Not an issue.

I agree with this.

They sound good, but I like the Zero 2s slightly better without using any EQ on either.

I never turn stuff up too loud, but at slightly louder than normal, the sound remained very clean. They are worth the $19 I paid.

Correction, I meant to say they are worth more than the $19 I paid and the Zero 2s are worth more than $24. You can't go wrong with either.

I just realized, I use and like the Zero 2s more than the Sennheiser IE200s. I'll use the Chu 2s more for the next few days to see if my opinion changes.

The issue with the packaging isn't that it's hard to open or dispose of. It's that these companies all think we're antisocial weebs who get excited by the sight of scantily-clad anime girls.
