I am using currnelty a Yamaha RX-V24000 amplifier.
I am trying to see what upgrades might make sense.
All I need is to drive the 4 speakers and to be able to adjust the levels between the two pairs.
+ a trigger in.

I came across the Parasound 2125. However, it seems that it did not do that well on this forum.

Also, I like to stay within $1000. However, this can include used market.
Also open to the idea of having two small amps.

My speakers:

Wharfedale EVO4.2

recommended amplifier power: 25-120 watts
sensitivity: 88 dB
nominal impedance: 8 ohms compatible

Mirage Nanosat:

Power Handling: 100 Watts
Recommended Amplifier Power: 10 to 100 Watts
Impedance: 4 Ohms minimum

As did some further searches I found some "simple" amps in the Topping PA7, Audiophonics, ... or many DIY kits. Granted I would end up with two devices for four speakers.
Can somebody point me into the right direction to find small simple amps like the Topping and the world of DIY? I am somewhat intrigued going down the path of DIY as my first work was in electronics before I became a softy.

Use the following link and check out Amir's amplifier reviews: https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?pages/Reviews/.

Two Topping PA7 probably would serve you well.

Note that some people have complained about quality issues with Topping, but I have had no issues with my MX5

With regard to DIY, the Hypex Nilai5000DIY Stereo receives excellent reviews, but two of those will be pricey: https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/hypex-nilai500diy-amplifier-review.41669/

Nonethless, Hypex makes a lot of DIY parts. Perhaps you can find a more cost effective solution. Here is a link to Hypex multi-channel modules: https://www.hypex.nl/application/am...amplifier-immersive-audio/?activetab=multiamp. You also would need a power supply and case.

thank you. I am sure this will be a fun discovery journey.

The only thing I dislike abut the Topping is the separate power supply.

Is Hypex pretty much the standard for DIY?

I don’t know. I just found about them recently reading Amir’s review of the Nilai and seeing a video by Alpha Audio where they liked it. Hypex’s less expensive components, though, probably are not as clean with respect to THD and noise, but my understanding is that they are used in some commercial speakers.

What are you hoping to achieve with your upgrade?

If it is sound quality, then changing the amp is not going to provide any significant improvement - and may well (as you are discovering) cost you a lot of convenience.

Here is another DIY amp Amir rated well:

and

Price is good too. But again, you will need a case and power supply.
