Pass. Powered, not active. All the disadvantages of passive and active in the same box.

Each channel is bi-amp.

Looks nice. Interesting that one side uses external power brick.

Hopefully Erin gets another one to review.

Then why on earth did they make them pair only? Seems a touch silly to me.

Because like 99% of customers buy them in pairs? Save on package etc.

There are going 4 cables to the second loudspeaker and knowing Kali I am sure they use a DSP crossover so I see no difference to other models except all the electronics being in one of the loudspeakers.

Not coaxial - Kali sells another, better approach themselves.

Amps for both channels are in the master speaker (bi-amped). The second speaker is passive and connects to the master with a 4-conductor cable. This is cheaper than 2 active/powered speakers.

External PS is probably cheaper, saves volume in the speaker, and isolates the audio from the SWPS better.

A speaker system with a 4 inch woofer should have a subwoofer out to fill in the bass. Also there are no dip switches and the usual transformer box in the middle of nowhere to accidentally disconnect.

If you are using the analog connections you can use a sub with them and connect to the sub first. That wouldn't help for the BT or USB input though.

It's not a powered pair. It's active bi-amplified. Take a look at the connecting cable: It has four wires.

I have been told this 3 times now, thank you.

Erin has these in for a review.

This is public knowledge based on his Patreon blurry post. Which clearly shows this speaker. ;)

GREAT!!!

Can't wait for the review to be published
I also hope that it will be officially released in Korea, and that Cali will allocate a quantity to Korean importers.

Yes indeed, I am anxiously awaiting an independent test. I am space limited at my desk and typically use headphones for any critical listening there, but want something better for casual-ish listening than the Mackie CR3s that failed a couple years ago or the PreSonus Eris 3.5s I bought in a pinch to replace the Mackies without spending Genelec or Neumann money.
