I ordered these to do my own audition. It would be great to see a review of them here.
They are $199 and there are some discount coupons available.

If you can EQ, a HE400se V2 might be better value?

I'd weight in:
  • Build quality;
  • Comfort/weight;
  • Leakage tolerance;
  • QC/CS/warranty;
Comfort-wise, the HE400se headband and top-of-head comfort gives me an annoying hotspot on my head but YMMV.
The HE400se sub-bass is not perfectly flat in most measurements, and any leakage will make it harder to properly EQ the bass.

(solderdude's review)

The Fiio FT1 Pro looks much better in this regard.

(UnheardLab's mini review)

I’d be leaning toward the FiiO FT1 Pro for this reason alone. If the comfort is similar to the FT1, it shouldn’t be an issue for me. Plus, it’s not heavy for a planar at 374g.

Based on the UK price of £180 for the FT1 Pro vs. £99 for the HE400se, it'd have to do significantly better on those points.

Hopefully AliExpress will do it for a better price than UK retailers.:)

Prices in the UK, Australia and New Zealand are often double (or triple) the recommended retail price. Is it import tariffs, taxes or the greed of local resellers?!
Check out their Aliexpress store. I got mine for $174 with a $25 discount. But it looks like the first batch of 60 pcs is already sold out.

I liked his mini review. It was done professionally, using industry-recognized tools and without bias/lobbying.
He only missed the EQ test and their comparison to the Audeze LCD-X/LCD-5.
Lol if you are expecting someone to do a comparison of this with the LCD5.

I don't see why they can't be compared. Price is not the point of comparison. The initial frequency response is quite close.
Then the EQs may be the factor that separates them. The LCD-X / LCD-5 seems to have more headroom for this.

Although they can be similar in tuning, the driver quality can make a world of difference in terms of detail, stereo width and soundstage. In my case I really like how razor sharp Audeze hps are in terms of details but IMO stereo width is a little bit weird as for my are like LCR without being able to pinpoint accurately. At least that was my experience with LCD-2 and LCD-X

NT Global...

Arrived with DHL express in one day.
I am quite impressed with this headphone.
Review is up..

Im glad that the pina isnt as agressive as I first thought. I'm tempted since they seem to avoid "planar timbre"
