Thanks Werther 44210.;

Can any other users comment on whether they have successfully used a CD drive for playback?

Thanks in advance.

I can try this tomorrow when I get back home. I have a portable usb drive... there is a "CD" app. I kind of assumed it would!? Haven't tried though.

I am getting the Eversolo 6 today and I have a best connection question. I have the Cinema 50 with the NAD C298. Would it be Eversolo A6 HDMI out to Cinema 50 and XLR to the NAD? Or simply HDMI out to the Cinema 50? Or, XLR to NAD from the Cinema 50?

Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I'd go HDMI to the Cinema 50 (for multichannel purposes) but keep all 2ch music to the NAD. I do not know what DAC the Cinema 50 uses (nowhere to be found...), and for this I doubt it being better than the A6's.

I have the Eversolo connected via HDMI to my Marantz receiver and via RCA to my NAD power amp. For stereo music I like the second path more

Hey all, am a happy owner of the master edition (just loved the gold more, haha) and am running it into a CXA81 with evo 4.2's. It has massively improved that setup, there is real audible difference in top end, sound stage and just overall clarity. Totally opened up a warm sounding system without introducing any fatigue.

Anyway, I am having a small issue which it seems no one else is having, at least in this forum. When i start my Eversolo and then i start the app it sometimes refuses to connect. Sometimes it connects automatically and gets me to the interface, sometimes it just sticks on the device list and when i click on it it just refreshes that screen. I have found the only thing that works is turning it off again and then trying again. Which then works 50% of the time, or i even have to turn it off again.

Its starting to bore me and am wondering if anybody has any insights, whether it be the wifi, the phone app or the deivce itself. Am on latest firmware and app.

Appreciate any insights, enjoy your dmp a6's

I had a similar issue initially. I never got it to work reliably with my WiFi although I can stream 4k TV. I put a mesh router close by and hardwired the internet to it. No problem after that.

Mesh router node I meant.

The post has been deleted! I was wondering if it is confirmed that Eversolo bypasses the Android software by listening to Apple music, connecting a DAC to the coaxial output of Eversolo. Eversolo 24/192 display vs DAC 24/192 display?
True, I made many corrections with edit because I use Google translation.

Thanks, I have a mesh router close, will try the hard wire (could have thought of that myself lol)

Works with USB key as external hard drive, but problem with laptop CD drive, don't know why, driver problem....

Is it possible to copy folders from the NAS to the internal SSD?

I have the same setup and i prefer below, but it needs manual switching in C298 to select RCA/XLR and A6 volume passthrough switching.
My setup is NADC298 used for front 2 channel amplification from cinema50 external preout.
Mostly for music, i use direct (no room correction softwares) , so from Eversolo XLR out to C298 XLR IN . In this case you need to switch the 2 dip switches in back of C298 to XLR input. This is really great for direct music listening and my favourite for music.
To hear music through DIRAC+subwoofers (from cinema50) , i have also connected the Eversolo RCA out to cinema50 RCA IN.
While watching movies or sometimes music with some coloring and subwoofer, i use RCA from cinema50 to C298, here you have to select the 2 dipswitch to RCA.
There are 2 caveat's here. First is manually switching the dip switches in C298 to select XLR/RCA and second is you need to switch back & forth the volume passthrough in A6 when you are playing through marantz , but for me it works , but wont work for many :) .
Caution - remember to set the volume limit start up to -40 in A6 to accidentally protect your speakers, if you forgot to switch the volume passthrough off while playing directly from A6 to C298. With proper saftey settings in A6(start up volume limit function) , it is safer even if you forgot to switch the volume passthrough in A6 and i tested it as well.
This procedure is bit complicated, but its safer and you can use DAC from A6 to both cinema50 & C298.
This works for me as i only see movies in weekend , so 80% of time music .

You could also use HDMI out from A6 to cinema50, but then A6 DAC is better compared to Cinema50.

That's great. Thank you for the comprehensive response. Out of curiosity, what are your speakers?

A review of the A8, there are the usual subjective considerations, as Keith would say, the A8 would have a bit more distortion, of course, I'm not talking about the A8 DMP's more extensive features, its volume control in preamplifier mode which the A6 doesn't have. In what he writes he's talking about the clearer, more linear, flatter sound of the A6, so if you want neutrality and clarity or transparency (it's hard to put words to that), the A6 has a lot of advantages. For those who want a different sound, less linear and clear, the A8 seems to be an option. He said something interesting about seeing the difference between Gustard A26 and A8 even in blind testing is a difficult mission.

Why would the A-8 have more distortion?
I can’t hear any distortion when I listen to the A-8 these ‘influencers ‘are idiots, only driven by money.
Ignore them and they will eventually disappear.
Keith

Here are a few pictures of the cd playback interface. Seems to work fine. Can play, rip, gets meta data, etc. my drive is an older Samsung external dvdrw with a Toshiba drive.

Hi Keith, have you listened to the A8 DAC, what does it sound like compared to the A6, more detail, more air, more depth or width, I'm interested in your objective opinion between the two.
