Double Blind tests *did* show amplifiers to sound different

Almost all HiFi forums expect and respect subjective comments.
This one is almost unique and generally known to be.

It is almost trolling to put a subjective comment on here without sound evidence and expect it to be taken seriously.
The subjective opinion is okay so long as the holder is not taking opinion and proclaiming it fact.

But who's whining now? Seems to be the people who don't want to hear subjective impressions.

My advice remains the same: if you don't like subjective comments, you may simply ignore them instead of constantly & repetitiously deriding them.

Who asked you?

When I want your advice I'll...seriously need to reconsider my life choices.

Anecdotes being pushed as facts should not be ignored.
I have never "pushed as facts" my impressions. I have always insisted they were personal impressions only: take 'em or ignore 'em. Stop it with the 'straw man' argument.

I assumed you were talking about the myriad of subjective impressions from other users and not your own.

It was not aimed at you personally, and I apologize for not making that clear.

Of course we have to address "The Strawman". He is very sneaky and winds his way through ASR posts at will. He is a prolific little guy who comes and goes like the ether. But no matter what, he hangs around ASR almost every single day. I think he stays because he thinks there will be coffee and donuts available, if he finds the right thread. He seems to always be hopeful looking for that glazed donut.....:D

As pervasive as Gremlins.

Apology accepted. To be sure plenty of people offer subjective impressions as fact -- not me though.

After 50+ years in the hi-fi hobby I know perfectly well that the majority of subjectivist claims are balderdash.

Exactly, or using opinion to claim superiority. No two of us "hear" things the same. Aside from our physical differences, there are a multitude of psychological influences in effect.
