That sucks. I saw a similar thing occur in Canada. With being bought out by a major player and then the labels changed for cheaper labels, went from cool tall bottles with metal foil labels to cans etc... now the product cannot even be found on the shelves. Before this it was sold out every weekend.

Yeah that sucks. The reality is that beer sales have tanked in many places.

I got one don’t like over hopped brew so most craft I don’t buy. For that matter I don’t buy Canadian either. I love the Irish, Scottish, German, Dutch, etc.

Interesting today I put some Carliberg in my carrier and the lady at the store said that it’s now brewed in Waterloo (small town Ontario Canada). Those went back to the shelf and Bitenberger was bought.

The second craft American beer I ever drank besides Saranac and I think the 3rd might have been Sam Adam's. I hope they don't go away too.

Ya. This has been a sad, sad story, and a very sad day! I didn't know it was Sapporo USA to blame for the woes Anchor has been experiencing... But now I have a place to direct my anger!
One of the biggest losses here, beyond the history of the company itself, is the loss of their annual Holiday Ale; truly one of the finest beers to enjoy as a Winter Warmer when it came to market every November.

*sighs

Enjoying this . It's almost to smooth in that I can't make up my mind about this one. If I have an epiphany I'll let you know.

Cheers.

Going back off the Barley Juice for a while.
My recent enjoyments have included some offerings from Lagunitas, Russian River, Laughing Monk, Old Caz, Cuver, Henhouse.

It's one of those days when only the best will do.

Today has been busy.
