Agree that it looks like an obsession, is just the far-right side of objectivity though. I just demonstrate it even if I don't agree...

In case that it is put right.

Oh I agree that if there is different rolloff with A and B then they can't be matched. I was just talking about the 1Khz measurement...

I think this is more complex than we need to get into. Josh used pink noise and a 1KHz sine wave. I am setting aside the noise because...

Not even for sine waves? REW got my -12dB sine wave exactly right. The sine wave generator in REW would not have used any kind of FFT or...

FWIW worth my DMM is B+K true RMS. But it is 30 years old and hasn't been calibrated in quite a while!

But for comparative purposes it would all be the same for A and B wouldn't it?

You have to calibrate to make it a voltmeter, but REW does give precision levels allowing for good relative measurements. It bounces...

I just want to mention again that the bleed makes them not the same if the two signals have different delay, as @RandomEar pointed out...

I did check the file length to make sure the right number of samples was added/removed. That's the weird part. I agree that which...

Maybe to you. I now have firsthand experience with this comparator. I can explain how it massively dumps noise and distortion on its...

We knew this is how it would be, but still Amir's results are showing problems. If Josh had made recordings as we tried to get him to...

It isn't the delay in itself that is the problem when using the box. It would not be a problem at all if there were no crosstalk. But...

Anyone calling it a remote control knob is THE ENEMY. It is a SUPER KNOB.

It is easy to have your selection a sample or two off in Audacity. I never remember how it works so have to check the sample number in...
