Is anyone using HQ Player to play Amazon music on a mac? I have looked everywhere for info on how to set this up and execute but can't find any clear instructions...Anyone???

A number of different ways to set up HQplayer for amazon streaming. iPAD/MAC running Amazon ios app, USB to raspberry pi 4 (USB input NAA). Make sure you go into the raspberry pi 4 NAA OS image and edit the config to enable USB peripheral mode.

Wiim Ultra now has USB device out so that's also option - to connect wiim ultra to a raspberry pi 4 (USB input NAA) to hqplayer. So you can use the Wiim app or alexa cast for amazon HD to hqplayer

Thanks!

Let me be a little more specific- I want to use a mac mini to host all of the software- amazon music, blackhole, sound source, and hq player. I will control everything with screen sharing from another mac. I want to use the mac mini into my 8 channel Oktodac8. I would like to get this working with just two channel to begin with, then add 2 more channels for a pair of subs, crossovers for the subs, and ultimately, room correction and eq. I don't think I need a raspberry or any separate streamer.

Thanks again for your input...

Hello, unfortunately I don't own a mac and know nothing about blackhole.

I know the easiest way to get it to work would be to include a raspberry pi 4 as a input NAA that supports automatic sampling rate detection and send the information to HQplayer.

You are better off to ask the question on the audiophile style forum if you like to use blackhole as the virtual cable for your use case. There is a dedicated thread for Hqplayer with Mac.
