I'm trying to use the JetAudio or Musicolet music players off my Samsung A71 connected via usb c to my smsl dac, but I'm getting no transmission.
Yet when I unplug and plug the cable again, the Hiby Music Player on my phone asks to connect to the Smsl su1 DAC, and then I'm able to play via that player into the Smsl dac just fine.
Tried uninstalling the Hiby player, and the other players are still not playing through the DAC.
Both apps play perfectly fine through my Tanchjim Space DAC/amp dongle for instance. Any app for that matter.
Using a normal usb c to usb c 10ft cable.
Thanks in advance for any help you could give me.

EDITED to update the TOMO T4 amp draw it`s now .30 amps at 5.1 volts from a cold start I used the higher output port and it went up from the .26 amp draw...
Not entirely sure why the other port is rated for 1 amp output the higher output port is for up to 2 amps but the T4 is not a quality device...

Just bought the SMSL SU1 I`m unable to use my USB connection from my Galaxy A52 my cellphone screen states :

High output USB device connected.
Cannot access this device.
Connected device needs external power supply.

I also have the Fosi Audio DS1 it works flawless on both Windows 11 PC and Galaxy A52 just plug and play no drivers needed.

SMSL SU1 maybe just needs firmware upgrade, waiting for SMSL to respond from my inquiry as the only difference in power consumption is that Optical mode needs more power but that should not affect the USB port ?

Or is there more power draw from the SMSL SU1 when using USB port ?

When using the optical input the amp draw from the USB port showing on my TOMO T4 is only 0.26 maximum at 5.1 volts.

Have no idea how to measure amp draw of Fosi DS1...

the message you get is telling you exactly what is wrong. The phone is telling you the SMSL wants more power than the phone is allowed to give. Might not mean all phones cant, but that one cant

I bought this thing which allows me to plug-in power and a USB device at the same time. (I didn't buy it for "more power", but so I could charge the phone or tablet (or keep it charged/charging) when something else was plugged-in.)
