Aiyima A70 [TPA3255 PFFB Stereo] - User Impressions | Owner's Thread

Just a heads up for anyone using the A70 stereo XLR inputs.
I'm using the A70 as an additional amplifier to bi-amp some floorstanders.
As I'm in the UK the land of pin 2 hot ...I've had to reverse pin 2 and 3 it was out of phase for me.
Using the unbalanced inputs there has been no noise powering up or down, however using the XLR inputs there is a low level click/pop.
This is utilising the 12v trigger.
Otherwise all good.
10A psu.
isn't swap P2 and P3 reverse the phase? i assume their phase are the same with RCA and XLR input.
i confuse that what is the land of pin 2 hot? for XLR, 1-GND,2+,3- is a standard definition.
btw,are the click/pop still there without XLR cable connect? i notice some cheap DAC or most of PC output have a certain DC offset not exactly close to 0V,when DAC off then generate a small offset voltage then feed into the amp before trigger it into off status.

Hello everyone,
This is my first post on ASR, been reading for a while though.
I just bought this amp and there is an issue I don't understand: it seems to go to stand by by itself even with an incoming signal.

I tried connecting a universal 12V-transformer ( Amazon ) that has a 3.5mm plug into the 12v trigger socket and it works fine. However, a couple minutes after disconnecting the transformer the Aiyima goes again into stand by.

I thought the 12 volt trigger was a feature that one may use if necessary, but could it be that one has no choice but to use it? I mean, is the A70 designed in such a way that one must use the 12v trigger?

Thanks for reading :)

Hi newbie and welcome. I have not experienced this problem on my A70. You should not use a powered input through the trigger in, just use a mono or stereo male 3.5mm to male 3.5mm jack cable between the A70 and the preamp/streamer.
