When you see claims of audio quality improvements together with network anything (with an incredible amount of redudancy and checksuming baked into the protocols themselves), run away.

One good thing with fiber is that you can have long cables : hundred of meters if needed. As @q3cpma told this will have no impact of the sound.

Fiber can be an excellent choice if you need to run network cables beyond 100 meters or need a high-bandwidth connection, but otherwise, why bother?
