It should be fine for most IEMs though, and paired with an amp like the JDS Labs Atom, would make a great set-up for system-wide EQ from an Android source to full-sized headphones.
Speaking of technics, a review of their GaN FET based class D amp would be great!

Paired with an Atom, it will be less portable. It would be worth considering this one instead:

You'd save $125 getting the IL-DSP + Atom over that, and I don't think many people would need portability with full-sized headphones, but you still get maximum portability with IEMs as the IL-DSP is a tiny thumb-drive device.
The HA-DSP on the other hand doesn't look promising based on these measurements (high-frequency roll-off and noise):

How do we go about getting this done? My S8+ is too new for me to blow $750 on S10e. Can someone who has one or wants to buy one send it to me for testing?

Technics at $15,000???
The spec says it won't perform that great:
That is a SINAD of just 66 dB.
The new Topping DX7 Pro, and D90 when it comes out!
Yeah, it uses GaN FETs which are supposed to have way higher switching frequencies than MOSFETs.
There's just a lot of "new" and "R&D" baked into that price if I had to guess.
I'd be more interested in the amp section than the DAC.
I would but I don't live in the US so it would be pretty expensive and take a while...Hopefully there's someone nearer to you who'd be willing to send their S10e (or another of the Snapdragon S10 series, as they should be very similar). In the meantime, updated measurements of your S8+ with your new rig would be welcome.

I have not had any updates so don't quite know. I was told it would be sent after the China national holiday which I think came to an end.
