I have the DT770, how would you compare them? Are they much harder to drive?
What version of DT770 have you got? 250ohm cans are better paired with a decent dedicated amplifier, in my not so ample experience.

The DT770-80 is around 106dB/V, the DT1770-250 (Tesla driver) is 108dB/V so the DT1770 should be slightly louder at the same volume setting.
So when you are happy with the DT770-80 the DT1770 will be even 'easier to drive'.
You could consider the DT177X portable from Drop which is 32 Ohm, more sensitive and can even be used balanced.

AKG N60 wireless.
It is working perfectly with Microsoft team meeting and it is very compact in the plane carry on luggage.
Bluetooth AptX is supported and audio quality is very good.

Before that one I got wireless Philips and JBL headphones that were not working well.

Is there a point in you keeping both HD800 and HD800S?

Just fitted old senhiser hd202 drivers to my modded philips cityscape. Results subjectively are very balanced. Can't detect any frequency issues. Only minor niggle is a slight lack of dymanic range.

I've owned quite a few, but at the moment I own the following 4:

Open:
Audeze LCD-2 (From 2017, so they're LCD-2F)
Beyerdynamic T1.2 - These are the third pair or T1.2s I've owned, and are a few months old. They seem to have less scooped mids that the others I've owned.

Closed:
Denon AH-D7200
Sony MDR-Z7M2

My intention is to have one set of open and one set of closed cans, so I'm just trying to decide which to keep.

I have kept my HD 800 for long and has experienced some visual wear, that's why I got the HD 800 S this year to replace the old HD 800. Just cosmetic.

Currently rocking hd6xx and on the hunt for somthing different (just like trying stuff) I like that almost everything sounds decent with these.

Also have:
tin t2's
Sure 210's (how these have lasted this long amazes me)

Have had: (in no particular order)
Grado 80
Grado 125e
Technics rpdj1210 (first okay headphones, may be an earlier model)
Sony mdr-7506

How does the rpdj1210 sound with the others that you own? I have a friend who is a fan of anything Technics, he's trying to find a Technics hp. :)

The Arya has more bass and the hd800s has more treble. The soundstage is wider on the hd800s yet more concentrated on the Arya. I really like the bass from the Arya.

I prefer the Arya for pop music while the hd800s for more orchestral oriented music.

I would be curious to know the differences once both are equalized to Harman curve. Have you tried?

Nobody try the Dt1770? I'm interested but also worried about their 250ohm.
Maybe because i adapted to Ananda too much but i really didn't like the 1770. Seriously bad headphone. I also have 770 250 ohm which i think is better. Going from Ananda to 1770 there is a shock. Going from Ananda to 770 and it's still good. 770 have more engaging kick in the lows and highs, Ananda have superb transparency and realness of vocals. 1770 is just bad. One note, boring, technically bad and boosted bass, bad bass slam, recessed and uneven mids/highs. 770 sounds like open back compared to 1770. Comfort is also worse but build quality is superb. 1990 is very significantly better than 1770. Despite being open back 1990 also have more and better bass/slam. 1770 have more subbass but it's doing more harm than good.

Check out Emu Teak's if you want closed back but i heard they are leaking.
