I'm not a big headphone user, but I use them occasionally for a change.
I have Sennheiser HD650 and HD600. IEMs -Under $50 IEMs HBB X PR2 TinHIFI T2 TANGZU WANER Among them, PR2 is planar, he is the cheapest planar.
You only need to use DAC and you will find that it is so different. If you haven't used planar before I think it's a good starting point
