A super 1979 Philips recording of Rodrigo's Concerto Andaluz for 4 guitars and orchestra, Los Romeros, Academy of St Martin in the Fields/Marriner.
Enchanting and fabulously natural sound.

New recording from BIS! ORBI - The Oscillating Revenge of the Background Instruments

ORBI - The Oscillating Revenge of the Background Instruments - Orbi plays a mix of symphonic rock, blues and even metal in a 'chamber music' setting. It's a crossover between the classical world (where soloists Sambeek & Stotijn have build a great career) and the pop/rock world (where Figee thrives as a bandleader and soloist) with allround percussionist/drummer Korff de Gidts working in both worlds. They've created unique new versions of existing songs arranged especially for Orbi by Marijn van Prooijen. Their debut album will be released by the renowned Swedish classical label BIS. ORBI is formed by: Bram van Sambeek - Bassoon Sven Figee - Hammond Organ Rick Stotijn - Double Bass Marijn Korff de Gidts - Drums / Percussion
