Certainly there were a lot of good covers there but I still ended up listening to Stevie Ray Vaughan instead. Slash may be a good guitarist, but at SRV level he is not (few are):

Three chords and basically one and the same lick played over and over and damn how well he does it. The speed of the picking and the control, really good:

Billy Gibbons is on Slash's record, but then I'd rather listen to ZZ Top's own old songs.
