Thrax Audio Speakers - Anodized casing

I gave up on the shashas after seing how badly they have aged, it's not really the material I am criticizing it's the paint finish. Paint is a lot more fragile then metal of any kind. I now own Piegas and small Genelecs, also some vintage metal Technics, no dings, no scratches, no obsessions, I can recommend both. Both measure well and sound good but to each his own. I am still pursuing better like most members on this forum.

But those vintage Technics (guess SB-F) and Genelec models are also painted and this paint can similarly be scratched as paint on correctly prepared, primed and filled MDF/HDF surfaces.

You can't compare piano type lacquer or automotive paint to hard powder coated granular paint such as the Genelecs, they are on my desktop now, I would have to purposefully mistreat them to show any faults (a bit expensive but justified and worth the asking price).
