Can you do something as simple as order one minus air-conditioning which is a totally unnecessary, performance stealing accessory?
You could in the 2023 COPO Camero with the 10.35 liter, 632 cid engine. Now thats a serious factory muscle car.
;)
That's not a crate motor. That's a cargo container motor.

For all the joy of a huge V8, or even a big one, I prefer the instant, effortless power of EVs.

TRIGGERED!

As did my slot cars. ;)

We just leased one recently. Between the federal and state(CO) rebates it made for a heck of deal and low risk to try one out for a couple of years.

Go Speed, go! How much of that did you fabricate?

If I ever come over to your house, I'm painting over that insulation on the garage door.
That's a web photo. LOL

Don't need heat. Do need A/C for a daily driver.

Don't need either for a dedicated performance machines. Put on a coat or roll down the windows (if you can).
Our race cars never had either (drag and roadcourse) it only adds weight.
Depending on where you live having both is a nice luxury, which people traveled without since caveman days. ;)

I prefer my cars with AC, ventilated seats, heat, heated seats, heated steering wheels, and lumbar support.

I can understand your desires but that's also part of the reasons why folks rant about cars costing as much as a small house today.

A daily driver (you know, wife, other couples, going out to eat, taking 1000+ mile trips, etc. Outdoor temps NEVER below 75 F (just before sunup) & NEVER over 96F.
A well handling high 11 second 1/4 mile @ 120 MPH is quick enough (in a comfortable 4 seat car that is well balanced & handles well). Something like a 200 LB. lighter than stock Callaway Supernatural Impala SS, with 550 HP (a 100 over the TOTL engine offered from the factory) & a Tremec 6 spd (with the "Viper" 3-4 shift modification) and 3.73 gears.
I would never consider that a "dedicated" performance car as that would be WAY too slow.
It's just a nice, fun, enjoyable, relaxing ride.
More dedicated than that would probably have less seats & impinge a bit on comfort.
Perhaps a built 632 Supercharged Chevy Monza Spyder with NO2?

Just placed an order for my new car (well, the boss pays but whatever) and it has almost all of that for 35K euro's. Its just missing the ventilated seats. The problem is that people want that AND have cars that are just enormous.

All in the realm of rich folk.
We blue collar working folk have to make concessions. ;)

Round here, you can buy Rimac for the price of a nice house. An entry-level Ferrari? That's not even an enter-level condo in a bad area.

Apparently the i4 M50 does 1/4-Mile in 11.7 sec @ 120 mph. I've never actually used launch control, though. It is... adequate.

The automotive versions of High End audio. Blah, Never, even if I had the money.
For 2025 GM can give me this starting at under $70K and run 11.2 1/4 miles.

Oh, she'll cost you way more than $70k in the long term, and with legs like that, I bet she can run 2.8 miles without a problem.

I love Ferraris. But that love pretty much stops at the 365 GTB/4 with perhaps the addition of the Berlinetta Boxers. Would never be able to afford any of them, but that doesn't stop the love.

Hmm, Adequate: a former Rolls Royce descriptor (before they published power specs).
I actually had to look up what an i4M50 is.
A BMW.
Probably a nice car.
It's a HARD NO for me.
The max amp service I have is 30 amps (120V [that is at the breaker box]).
The closest place that has more electric power is about 40 miles away.
& IF I had a German car (oops, I do, it's a 2004 Mercedes [and a 2000 Nissan Frontier, a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado SS), my next choice would be a Porsche (I worked at the Porsche factory 1984-1989, so I am biased).
And there is likely no car newer than 2012 that I could afford, that I would want. (exception Koenigsegg [which I could afford IF I had NOTHING else]{I like them due to the innovative "free valve" system & the also innovative hybrid system}).
It's getting too hard to put a decent stereo in newer vehicles (with a CD player, of course).
Although I also have a HATED 2024 Subaru CrossTrek that I have lifted 2"s.
I do not like ANY of the electronics in the Subaru, especially the BOSE stereo that cannot be changed due to it's integration with the rest of the electronics.
At least my now totaled & gone (due to an IDIOT making a left turn in front of me) 2012 Lexus ES 350, I liked well enough after heavily modifying the suspension to keep it from bottoming out & scraping on the mile or so of the 2 track trail to my home if there was more than 2 passengers.
It had a rather good (Mark Levison brand) stereo in it.
(I can fish off of my front deck without leaving the house, as I live on a river, in a protected forest [my 800 sq. foot home is the max allowed]).
I'll hopefully never live near a place that has enough electric power to charge an electric car.

Long stems on that rose for sure.
But if you owned that Vette, you can always find more of her. ;)
