in Los Angeles, maybe this didn't work?

the master flac's (i.e. what I play)
- two copies on two Linux servers (each with raid 0 across 5 drives to reduce drive wear) in the house
- copies on three hard drives in my car which is parked away from the house (near site)
- copies on three hard drives at a relatives house 40km away (remote site)

As my music is classical there's no alternative than hard copies.Streaming is the far west of versions,I doubt one can find the version he searches for with one hit.
Plus I love collections (one of them is 154 CD for example) .

I do rip my stuff of course but I take my time,I usually rip something just before I want to listen to it so I'm slow to it as I want my tags full,etc..

But no,no streaming for me.

After trying many streamer, the only one, that do random play album, is the itunes! and annual membership, is at fair price here!

So even, if i put digital copy on HD, and my NAS (that has crashed, will erase and proceed the upload again).

I have copy, of my purchase in 1 in Flac (Nero) and 1 in Alac (Apple) to be complete, will make a CD copy of all my digital purchase.

Will upload everything in my Apple and my cloud and my other cloud

the apple is for convenience and play by album (MacMini to a DAC, only way to have lossless playing with apple HiRes).

Less bluetooth as possible, except the car or i use an old phone with SD card storage car as a music bank in the car. I like the old LG with HiFi DAC in it, easy way to travel HiFi!

Airplay, is convenient to play music in all the house and manageable with cell phone remote.

i will have for a few month to digitalyse, my 1200CD's (yup, i discard, the rest of my CD, my old rock, folk are gone, and can't find anywhere, first CD version, only trunkated or loudness version of the same music!

So, maybe some needle drop, while, i listen my lp's will do!

So what did i forgot?

and no streamer are made to listen classical music in random play, only apple does that.

All the others, they are "swiftfer", they just play random hit, a Debussy without, the complete work or Beethoven without complete work is useless!

Agree with you,

Final count, over the last 30 years, i have accumulate, over 1800 album, in digital format, so will need to purchase a 2000CDR? yike!

Since i have found, old DVD copies of my database, and have multiple copy

I use one of my HDD drive and drop everything on it

I merge them, keeping the double, the triple

So far, best software, i found in windows for 10$ is "Duplicates Cleaner" for all kind of files.

Use than the windows "duplicates cleaner" and run it

cleanup, my audio files in ones night

After merge everything in a copy file, and then i run the program, clean 193G in a breeze!

now will upload back everything to itunes/music to see what happen!

Well, bad new, was working with electric tool this morning.

my ear and brain, decide it's over for one of my ear after veneer felt and made a loud slackkkkkk!

so now, no need to invest time in that

Streaming will be fine, and will keep only, one HiFi set up and discard all the rest!

this is the end of my musical journey!
