I have been looking at the kef ref but been phoning a few places and said it’s not worth it really as I would be forking out a lot even with deals as your Still looking at 19k. Even end of line would be still hitting about 16K and would be looking at 12k second hand so I decided it’s not Going to happen as it’s just to rich for my blood

Something they did say is I could Upgrade my mains and centre to the R6 and been told not to bother with the R7 as it’s very little benefit from the R5 but there is better
Lower end but bot a lot of difference but that’s about it and many said to go for the R11 as the R7 is more of a side step if I was going to replace the R5

I think the series R will be my last so not sure what to do as herd many good things about the R6 centre. And many say the R11 are very good and as close as to the ref you’re going to get so not sure.

I am considering it but had a couple of good prices but would Like your thoughts On that

Cheers al

How big is your room? Are you using a sub or subs? How far away do you sit?

The biggest difference in the towers is the bass/mid-bass. If you are using subs then the difference in bass is not so important. The mid-bass difference will still be a factor depending on how loud you like to listen.

R2 to R6 is pretty much the same situation, more bass/mid-bass and more output potential.

Rooms about 4.5m by 4.5m. I do have one sub but use it for movies as I have yet to integrate it. Prob sit about 3 m away from mains

I have r3 for rears and r5 and r2 for fronts and 1 sub and 4x atmos so was looking at the r11 and r6 to replace the r5 and r2 if its even worth it.
