Room vs Speakers

We all have a cell phone.
This is for iOS but there are definitely software for Android:
Oh nice didn't know for that, well didn't even think in that way ..... saw some pictures with expensive mic. And some crazy equipment .... tnx. For suggestion

Whatever you eventually get, bookshelf or tower speakers, try placing them away from the wall, at least 50cm, preferably more. I know it's always such a thing with placement and space constraints. If they absolutely must be closer to the wall, choose speakers with a gradual bass rolloff, so the added bass from the wall doesn't get too much.

Generally, I can see big tower speakers working just fine there, as long as they have the right characteristics in the lower bass. Like this for example:

From this Audioholics review, some 1100€ the pair

Well suited for placement near the wall, which will reinforce the region below 50-80Hz or so, depending on distance. With proper placement you'll get nice, even response down to 30-35 Hz. That's subwoofer category already, and pretty much the best you can expect from very affordable speakers.

The smaller Aurora 700 model (2x6.5" woofers instead of 2x8") are also something I can recommend. Around 700€ the pair, slightly less deep bass, but also unproblematic with placement and generally really nice, well balanced speakers for the price.
KEF floorstanders are designed for near wall placement. Maybe Q7 Meta could meet your budget @Error79 ?

Do remember though, even though Genelec drew a standmount speaker above, the advice is for full-range speakers. For limited-bass speakers used with a subwoofer, they suggest the speaker be placed either less than 5 cm or more than 110 cm from the wall.

Pa gdje si error! For the budget stay on Wharfedale and try to find Linton's. They can pass without sub's. Regarding room you will have to move out a bit from listening position from wall behind you. Measurement microphone is mandatory if you want to get anywhere. It doesn't have to be UMIK-1 tho it's recommended for calibration as SPL meter but you can use external one with pretty much any calibration mic. You do need to leat some DSP capabilities in order to deal with room and FR. Feel free to contact me privately if you wish I can show you and teach you at least basics regarding EQ-ing eventually even find you some equipment all do I am in Bosnia.

Definitely worth checking out. Proper 3-way design with 8" woofer and the cabinet volume of a floorstanding speaker, while being more compact. That's a technical advantage over the usual 2.5-way designs with smaller woofers you get as floorstanders for comparable money.

And they're well regarded in general. Many people love them.
