Yup, but they have come a very long way since I met them in the late 70's (1978?) when I went in to get my out-of-warranty PS Audio Preamp fixed.
They don't seem to have lost their enthusiasm for audio and have a lot more equipment for testing and measurement, and better facilities for production.
I've been fortunate to have worked on production for electronics and software in very large multi-national companies and very small R&D companies, it really is very different everywhere.
Usually, there are very enthusiastic people with a lot of engineering know-how, but little production, QA, Test, experience, and they would benefit from that big company process heavy experience to bring consistency, optimization, and stability to their releases.
But, they do the best they can with what they have
