Yes, it is possible to wire these correctly so that GND is taken from the 3.5 mm jack, and other poles from 2.5 mm. For safe operation, 3.5 mm has to be plugged in first (GND makes contact first).
I just ordered one of these earlier on aliexpress for $30 CAD. I've been looking at desktop DAC/AMP/Bluetooth and they are very expensive for a lesser feature set. I would get more power and maybe better SNR but I already don't hear the noise floor. I may try just getting another 5K for dedicated active speaker duty. I have my old ES100 setup in my car and it works flawlessly.

Sorry if this has been answered before, can someone tell me if more than one peq profile can be activated at once?

No, why would you need that? You have 20 bands to play with.
I occasionally have to use EQ for hearing loss compensation, on my PC I am accustomed to having a separate profiles to correct each headphone's response to a neutral target, then separate profiles EQs I apply on top of that for my personal compensation that I can swap between or turn off completely if someone else needs to use them. If only one profile can be applied at a time, I will have to make multiple profiles for each headphone and add my desired compensation to each one or use REW/AutoEQ to recalculate multiple profiles for each headphone. Which brings me to my next question: can the PEQ be used in a channel specific fashion (different bands or profiles for each channel)?

Yes, you have to switch to L/R Independent mode in DSP Settings (you'll end up with 10 bands per channel)...

Ah, I see the use case. Yes, I think you'll have to create separate profiles for with and without hearing loss compensation. Alternatively... On my phone, I use PowerAmp, which has it's own PEQ, so I could apply hearing loss compensation there and then apply PEQ on the Q5K to my chosen target curve.

You might be able to make a feature request for hearing loss compensation global EQ on Qudelix forum. No idea the likelihood of it coming to fruition

Updating EQ Profiles using the Chrome add-in

I have a number of existing EQ profiles, so I open one to modify it. I change what is needed, but how do I save it? There is no save button and when I click on another EQ profile it will tell me I will lose the changes I just made.

How can I save the changes made?

Double click on the preset, e.g. Custom #8, change the name to whatever you want, click save (you can also add impedance and sensitivity for your ear/headphones so the app will calculate SPL correctly)...

Note that this also offers a way to copy profiles or move them around...

1. Click on the profile you want to copy.
2. Double click on the profile you want to save to, enter the name, etc. then click Save.

To delete a profile...

1. Load the 'Flat' profile.
2. Double click on the profile you want to delete. Put the name back to 'Custom #whatever'.

Must confess I struggled to find the save function at first. Not hugely intuitive or obvious but I think I found in the support pages.

Also if you try to edit a preset that you don't have selected note that it will load the name of the preset but it will save the selected EQ, impedance and sensitivity of the currently selected one.

It's really confusing and unfriendly haha. They need to add buttons to the presets or something. I tried to send them feedback but support just kept telling me to read the manual. Even though I sent a video showing what I meant.

Ideally you would split selecting an EQ and editing an EQ so you can be listening to a preset while editing/organizing other presets. I would also love to be able to reorder them without doing musical presets.

Hello, I need some help. I heard that the Qudelix App can help inform me if my listening Volume is too loud but I don't know much about audio to understand it.

So the spec for the IEM I'm using at the moment is :
Sensitivity - 111dB/Vrms @ 1 kHz
Impedance - 9.7 Ohms @ 1 kHz

At what volume in the app to hit 75 dB? If I'm using Performance Setting 4Vrm?

I think you need to convert dB/Vrms into dBSPL/mW for use in the app...

From: https://reference-audio-analyzer.pro/en/dbv-dbmw.php#gsc.tab=0

Then put these values in an EQ Preset (double click on the preset in the DSP section)...

You can then set the volume to achieve the desired dB SPL directly in the Volume section...

Do I need to use the EQ? it seems to tell me once I enter the value numbers. -42 dB to hit 75.

Thanks, much appreciated

Im gonna place my new toy here and i hope not to hurt so many feelings :p
Best headset for gaming in existence so far. For music i can still use my E1DASG3 (But Im not finding it necessary).
Using oratory1990 HD800S Dekoni fenestrated parametric EQ (works better when new pads are used) and NOS filter.

English is not my first language but i can try to answer some questions.
