My wife and I love Acadia National Park. We come here yearly for 3 wks. between Labor Day and leaf peeping season. It’s normally a very crowded park...these are “relatively” quiet weeks.
From today’s hike.
- A swimming partner who joined me for an afternoon dip in Sargent Pond....and no, Mhardy, I was not flagrant dilecto, or whatever French for buck naked is called...I wore a bathing suit. Sadly, nowadays...somethings just can’t be unseen. I actually took this photo while neck deep in the water. The camera survived.
- Cairns. Acadia has great cairns, and with a telephoto you can line them up like soldiers. Photo taken at 180mm down the western ridge of Mt. Sargent.
- My beloved bride who has put up with me for some forty years that would be really pissed if she knew I put a photo of her on the website. She finds out, we might not make it to forty one. Hiking up Bald peak, upper and lower Hadlock ponds in the background.
