If you didn't know, it is made from a WWII aircraft fuel tank "belly" tank and was fundamental to start of the car culture in Southern California in the 1950's. They often hit speeds above 140 mph on California dry lakes.
I especially like the spoked-wheels (Brit product?).
There is big faction in CA which wants to do away with such gear-head hobbies :( as I look forward to how much fun it is going to be when eEVerything, will be eEVerywhere and all at once  NOT!
Look up the history of Hot Rods for more or better a trip to the Peterson Museum in So. Cal.
... and often not just once...

No reason to believe vintage ICE cars and motorcycles will go away, and that EV's won't be "hot rodded". If you love to drive, you love to drive, no matter what the tech. At least we are in alignment on the Peterson, a must visit for any gearhead.

Another must see is back on after the Covid hiatus Pacific Coast Dream Machines 2023 in Half Moon Bay.

This medieval village located in France is called "Collonges-la-Rouge" ("Collonges-the-Red") and has been built during the eight century ... 315 houses covered with red sandstone - 142 have been bought by rich people...
I've been there...

So... here in northern New England, usually the first warm(ish) rainy night in early spring brings a huge migration (for lack of a better word) of amphibians from their wintering spots towards ponds, lakes and vernal pools. Thousands and thousands of frogs, salamanders, and similar creepie-crawlies are on the move, all at once, on a rainy evening. Last night was the night.

Still, I was surprised to see this little rascal on our mudroom door when I was getting ready to go upstairs for the evening yesterday. :)

Playing around with a pair of KEF C55 yesterday.

(There really are a pair of them -- I only photographed one, from which I'd removed the rather fragile grille :) )

They are a fascinating speaker for me. I owned them and sold them a lot. They rock out and do classical too. A do it all speaker and for the price it was really good at the time

Most of my family is living in Switzerland, 900km from where I live by the Mediterranean Sea.
I mean no disrespect to the town, but...

Our local elementary school playground was full of chalk drawings today, in celebration of Earth Day.
This one took my fancy...
