pm me, how about an online chat, if amir wants i can help with such, i do web dev will do it for the community not money ofc.

It's mainly a chat server. So it's midnight and you can't sleep and wanna talk audio, you can go there. It's noon and your boss thinks you're working but you wanna chat, go there. It's for when the forum is too slow.

Me! Me! I’m all over it. My discord user name is the same as this one (and my avatar too). Please and thank you.

Can a discord server handle up to 256 nicks at a time in one chat window? Like the old IRC can. Or is it for mono au mono chat?

Can this server sow discord? Like Rusty and Amir in an all night raging chat out.

Will we be able to access Thomas across the Atlantic late at night?

I hope no one jumps in and gets Amir's or Thomas's usernames and serves up some real discord.

Chat online about what...audio science, and or including general sciences!

Oh no it's all become a sci-fi dystopian nightmare, im hooked up at a ' moderator farm ' where all the forum mods are wired up to some matrix and kept awake 24/7 to serve some over indulged, under socialised , angry and entitled bunch of audiophiles.

Maybe I'm already there ..

Or whatever. It's discord, like a bar where you take your own beer and aren't actually at a bar. You're just at home. Alone. Like always.

Yeah, you'll fit right in. Wanna be a mod?

Discussin' da laydees! :p

And the gentlemen. Whatever floats your boat.

I hope no one jumps in and gets Amir's or Thomas's usernames and serves up some real discord.

I don't think anybody would care. Now if he posted reviews there and not here, people would care.

Just passing by, if some people don't know, Discord makes money via massive data collection and sale or use.
See https://spyware.neocities.org/articles/discord.html

Basically, it's like Slack, some commercial entity trying to replace Mumble and IRC in the mind of the younger population attracted to shiny things like magpies.

Well I don't think we want our name on it whatever it is.

Shocked! Shocked, I say. Consider my pearls tightly clutched, Henrietta.

Discord may sell data, but so do the DMV and your phone company. I suggest you use neither from now on. Oh, and never use Google services. It's Tor and secure email 24/7 for all of you.

Slack is expensive and limited in features. IRC is massively out of date, is feature poor, requires a client for even a mediocre experience, and has a terrible interface.

I'm not sure why people crap over everything. Crap for good reason, but don't seek out reasons to crap. It's childish.

Nice nirvana fallacy. I never use my phone for anything even a bit confidential, I don't use any Google services and do use Tor for some stuff. Won't reply to the appeal to modernism; hope you don't use stairs, heard they were deprecated by lifts.

Anyway, no need to get all defensive, I just wanted to inform people who maybe didn't know the extent of it.
