Sorry for the noob-ish post, but Im having trouble narrowing down the options I have, where I do not have access to listen to all these headphones.
Budget - preferably under $400, but willing to go up to $500 USD
Source/Amp - Into Mackie Big Knob Studio audio interface
How the gear will be used - Only home use, it's quiet in this room. I will use them for gaming, music, discord, and occasionally movies, but movies are not really critical.
Preferred tonal balance - Im not sure honestly, it's difficult. I like the sound of the Sennheiser 600's and 660s2's i have heard, but that was strictly for music and im not sure how they would be for hearing close footsteps in fps games.
Preferred music genre(s) - everything, but mostly rock, metal, alternative, and some electronic
Past gear experience - Fidelio X2HR I use for everything and I love, but they're more on the "fun" side, when im looking for more precise in gaming, music, etc, if that makes sense. I also have Sony xb900n's for when i really want a bass kick, Sony WF-1000XM5, and Sony WF- C700n earbuds. I have a Mackie Big Knob Studio i run my headphones through, as well as a micca origen+ Dac/amp I have used in the past.
Options I have been suggested so far include the HD560's, 660s2's, ananda nanos, 1990 pros, etc
