The heart of my screened back porch system: WiiM Mini streaming Amazon HD into a Schiit Modi Multibit amplified by a Fosi Audio TB10D amp. The Fosi drives a pair of Axiom Algonquins and a passive Marcato outdoor sub. The set up stays on my porch year round and a clear plastic drawer turned upside down protects it from the elements. The case sitting on a table and painted white once contained Costco wine bottles. Underneath the table is the passive sub.

My wife and I love sitting on the porch while the stained glass window catches the rays of a setting sun. Eddie Harris piano jazz and a glass of red wine makes it that much more enjoyable.

My wife ( the master gardener ) thinks plants make the Algonquins sound more organic :). I'm glad she's willing to let me use her plant stands as speaker stands.

Looks like a great forum and it's raining cats and dogs in my neck of the woods, so I figured I join. Here is my Edgarhorn Slimline, that I added Fostex T90A's and JBL lenses to.
The Edgarhorns of course are reinforced by subs. I'll have to gather more pictures. Preamp Onkyo Integra P-3090, Yamaha M-4, active 18 and 12 inch subs. Mostly vinyl on Well Tempered and Clearaudio, Benz, Scheu/Benz and Shelter carts. Awaiting a Gullwing SLR -should be a step up even from Benz Ref S.

Welcome onboard on ASR Forum!

Very interesting for me to know that you have added super-tweeters FOSTEX T90A, since I too use/add FOSTEX T925A in my PC-DSP-based multichannel multi-SP-driver multi-amplifier fully active audio system.

My recent experiments on T925A would be of your reference and interest, I assume:
- A new series of audio experiments on reflective wide-3D dispersion of super-tweeter sound using random-surface hard-heavy material:
Part-1_ Background, experimental settings, initial preliminary listening tests: #912
Part-2_ Comparison of catalogue specifications of metal horn super-tweeter (ST) FOSTEX T925A and YAMAHA Beryllium dome tweeter (TW) JA-0513; start of intensive listening sessions with wide-3D reflective dispersion of ST sound: #921
Part-3_ Listening evaluation of sound stage (sound image) using excellent-recording-quality lute duet tracks: #926
Part-3.1_ Listening evaluation of sound stage (sound image) using excellent-recording-quality jazz trio album: #927
Part-4_Provisional conclusion to use Case-2 reverse reflective dispersion setting in default daily music listening: #929

You would please find details of the latest setup of my audio (audio-visual) system including T925As in my post #931 on my project thread.
- The latest system setup of my DSP-based multichannel multi-SP-driver multi-amplifier fully active audio rig, including updated startup/ignition sequences and shutdown sequences: as of June 26, 2024: #931

Thanks dualazmak, It is not my first time with the Fostex drivers, I built several horn loaded speakers myself, and the T90A was always a nice addition to whatever configuration I ended up with. Thankfully Fostex is hanging around - TAD had the best drivers as far as I can tell. The stuff that Richard Long and Associates did back in the 80's is legendary, but that's JBL of course.

There is more than will fit in these 2 photos (upright piano, a few instruments hanging on walls, 50 or 60 mic and instrument cords, etc.) But this is a decent overview.
Monitors are 2 JBL 308s, and a couple passive Tannoys (fed by a 225W/chan Peavey power amp in the rack) on top of them. The ones on poles are 400 Watt JBL Eons. The white thing between the lower video screens and the 308s is a 2"x2'x4' rigid fiberglass absorber covered in muslin cloth, which had a huge benefit in reducing SBIR frequency aberrations.

I designed and built these open baffle speakers using dual MarkAudio Alpair 12Ps from 150Hz to 3,000Hz, GRS PT-6816-8 dipole planar tweeter and a front and rear (of the baffle) back-to-back Jamo powered subs operated in reverse polarity from each other for dipole bass. There are two 15" subs in the front corners of the room. Everything goes through DSP for levels, polarity, delay, crossover and EQ. The mids are direct-drive and there's only a single passive 39uF film cap on the tweeter for DC protection. Each driver in the system gets its own power amplifier channel. On the floor, an Aiyima A07 for the mids and an A04 for the tweeter. (The mids and tweeter have 94dB 1W/1m efficiency.) This is all the front end of a 6.2.4 Dolby Atmos system.View attachment 278610
Stellar work! Im gonna build a speaker one day.

To know and play around with that stuff is about as good as it gets I think. Looking at those old TAD, and other midrange wood horns, im kinda sitting around waiting for some CNC guys to start making them again. That would save alot. From paper to protyping to finished product. Someone could actually start making them at enthusiast pricing

An almost alienescue setup. Impressive!
Thank you dondish. Revel salon 2’s 2x monoprice 15” subs 2 15”acoustic elegance subs in a custom enclosure. I can fairly easily pressurize my 18 x 24’ foot room with cathedral ceiling. The tv swings up into ceiling when not in use. I’am glad it looks somewhat cool, all my friends think i’am crazy. Obviously not married.

Let me know when y'all start a poor to fair pictures of your audio setup thread -- and I'll be a major contributor. ;)
If by this you mean to range pictures? ,youll have to start another thread. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and its a personal journey. You know personal, like your living or listening -room. Im not really sure what you mean?

New pale moon ebony stand for my Clarity M. This is veneered wood with plywood sceleton and lots of old copper coin. Veneer is hand sawn from one small plank and laid with trad hot glue method. Top is Pale moon ebony, underside is black Gaboon ebony. HP amp stand is next.

I want to add to this, that this project is not finished, nor will it be. Because this was only meant to be a prototype. Albeit a working prototype, but it does not really fill that purpose. Goals for this project is: Dimensional stability of internal plywood structure. Its not square by any means, I just omitted that, but outside of internal structure is dead flat. Its a study in flatness down probably 1/100 of a mm. Its the same with underside of veneer sheets. This preparatory work just makes the veneer suck into place. The destiny of this piece will be a study in the reversability of hide-glue :D Ie. I will peel it down and make something else.
