The yellow-brown color of those old PCBs is a delight. I miss it.How does it work? Does it make a difference?
Here are same naked pics of Sony TC-K 790 ES (the risky but succeed operation by open heart - or by open head?). I like this old technic - isn't nice?

Tv has a drop down motor. I leave it in the up against the vaulted ceiling when not watching. 80” Sony. Makes for nice viewing when lowered.
Living in California, land of earthquakes, just looking at that center speaker(?) balanced on it's stand like that is making me tense.Chasing good sound since the early seventies. Finally getting close. ASR certainly taught me to quit chasing some of my old bad beliefs thanks ASR
Yes not ideal setup if young ones running around. Fortunately I’m a 65 yr old bachelor that has free rein on priorities. Rudy my dog does not care how big my speakers are. A falling over speaker is the least of my worries if earthquake strikes HHI. The tv mechanism is pretty cool. Don’t want that big flat screen messing up the music.Living in California, land of earthquakes, just looking at that center speaker(?) balanced on it's stand like that is making me tense.
Looks like a fantastic system though, very nice!
Nice producer's workplace.I think this fails on two counts. It's not "nice". And it's not "set up". But it's what my desk typically looks like and it works.
